im lookin a getting a system and stuff done at a local shop.

this is what he reconmended.
Alpine CDA 7893 $339.20
Kenwood RFCL 787 $89.00x2
Rockford 500s $339.00
Rockford RFP3810 $89.00x2

and all the installation kits and installed for a bit over 1300 total what do you guys think. yea yea i know why put the speakers in the back (not the subs). i just want them im not worried about competions right now. maybe later.

LOL, not too many dsm'ers into systems i guess. looks ok...what exactly is some of the stuff tho? i'm not familar with all those stock numbers......

Alpine CDA 7893 $339.20 head unit i think it is a bass engine not the best one but it is close

Kenwood RFCL 787 $89.00x2 these speakers fit in the stock housings

Rockford 500s $339.00 this is that amp that is all i know

Rockford RFP3810 $89.00x2 and these are 10 inch subs

i dont need anything too big just want to thump alittle

sounds good, but for the money, i honestly think you could do alot better. it's really not hard to hook up speakers and a cd player. if you bought a pre-fab box all you would have to do is drop the subs in it and run an amp wire kit, which is also not too hard...just requires a bit of time. you could definetly put the whole system in within a day. being you're new to this stuff...might wanna check out www.crutchfield.com only because they have excellent customer service that will help you with any problems you run into and also , their stuff comes with all the moutning stuff to make it fit properly. might wanna check it out.

Not bad at all. I love my Headunit...It's definately a green light. I don't like the rockford stuff personally...but that's my prefrence, I like Kenwood's amps and JL's subs.

that sounds good but for 1300 and getting all rockford stuff don't you think that's a lil expensive??

ok the deck is great but since you dont' want to spend that much get the alpine type r - subs
kicker 800x 2 - amp
alpine amp for the speaks
that's what i think you might be spending a tad more but getting a lot more quality out of it

Dont go to the local guy to do your system unless yur made of money!
Listen to this !
go to www.etronics.com and or www.pricegrabber.com You have to search for the exact name, you cant go by brand name <you prob. wont find it> They sell Amps really cheap . <$215 including shipping> I almost paid double for my Kenwood KAC-929 1000W amp at the local guy askin $400,
I got the same amp without a real Kenwood serial number <was cut out and false one was inserted>. The thing is that Kenwood dealers have to sell a certain number of products to look good for Kenwood. Dealers sell the amps at cost to Etronics.com<after removing the original serial number>.These dealers do this so they dont get in trouble for selling Kenwood product at cost to a resaler. You benifit in that you pay half as much, but u dont get a warranty. The products to my experience are mint. My Amp still rocks 3 blocks. I got my custom box becuase my friend brian blew up his talon, and my JL's <10" 450W RMS> i got for $100 off ebay.
You better shop around! :thumb:
