Im just curious to see,Which of these cars do you think offer the best performance/aftermarket parts for thier price. In what order from best to worst do you list them in..

(Listed in Random Order)

1G GSX
90' Mustang GT/LX 5.0
90' Camaro Z28
90' Supra Turbo
87' Monte Carlo SS
90' RX-7 Turbo

Yes I know theres no point in this:thumb:

I would go with the 1g gsx or mustang 5.0 because they are endless aftermarket parts for both of them and they are both great cars.

unless the rx-7 is a turbo II then the gsx is the only choice

5.0 or an 1G AWD. Got my 2G FWD for 3400, so if you look hard, you can swing a good deal on something newer, maybe a little more styling. :)

Personally, I'm fond of the 89-91 240sx's with SR20DET swaps, even though it isn't on the list.

The 1g AWD has to be the number one car, though.

1G might be the best bang for your buck performer but as the saying goes:

If its cheap and fast its probably not reliable
If its cheap and reliable its not going to be fast
& If its fast and reliable it will definently not be cheap

If you're talking about being fast in a straight line, I'd say:
DSM
5.0
Camaro
RX-7
Monte

If you want a fast car that handles really well I'd say get the RX7 if you can find one for that cheap. Most 90 TII's go for about 7k. Modding isn't too expensive, similar upgrade stages as a DSM. It'd out handle almost anything out there too.

The 350 TPI is a good motor. There were like 4 different v8's available for those cars that ranged from 140-240 hp. But there are alot of cheap/powerful crate motors available for those.

i was gonna tell him the same thing, although i don't like the TPI setup for fuel injection. the L98 was a damn good motor, made almost 300lb/ft. stock.

HOw much do grand nationals go for???

If you could pick one of them up for 5k than I would say a Grand National or Buick T Type.

1g GSX would come in second.

Yeah I agree..... put the 240 on your list.... thats a good cheap car with a lot of aftermarket shyt...

I love the RX-7 but if your on a budget don't get it. Yes, they handle well and the Turbo 2's go fast but engine rebuilds get often and expensive when you begin to make the car faster. But RX-7s are just fun to drive.
