Hey guys me and a friend were fighting about if Absinth has lsd in it or not...I told him I wouldnt wanna try it if i did but he claims its made so it wont hurt you but is fun to try. let me know what u think.

Absinth does not.

I was in the Czech Republic this summer (where Absinth is made and originated form). I drank some at a club we went to, IT HAMMERED ME HARD.

But that is becasue it is 70-80% alcohol. Not because it has LSD in it.

No, it does not contain d-Lysergic Acid Diethylamide.

its illegal to sell from within the US, but legal to own (irony). you'd have to order from a site online in the UK and they can ship it over. warning, absinthe is not cheap. but when you have like 80-90% alcohol + thujone, it lasts you a while :).

i personally suggest la fée (its a bit more enjoyable)

Not LSD but I heard a hallucenogen: but here is what it really is:

"Artemisia Absinthium is the chief flavouring ingredient, native to Europe and Asia.; other aromatic ingredients include aniseed, licorice, hyssop, fennel, angelica root, star aniseed... Wormwood is a long-lived plant, with greyish-green leaves and the flowers have a greenish-yellow tint, and like leaves give off a strong aromatic odor and are bitter to the taste. Thujone is a toxic chemical present in wormwood and has a similar molecular geometry with THC, the active chemical in cannabis."

Further info for you:

If a friend of yours ever tells you he has smoked mj laced with LSD, slap him upside the head and call him an idiot.

LSD is destroyed by heat ;)

my mom bought some of this stuff, 90 dollars for 750 mL, the most amazing stuff ive ever drank.
its 75% alc content, with wormwood. a hallucinegenic.
the "drunk" is pretty intense, i dont think its illegal in canada, but certainly hard to come by, ive got a bottle left over for prom, :D
oooooooooooooooooh ya

Funny, I had some friends talk about this yesturday. They showed me their envoice where they ordered it from. They showed me it was in a magazine artical.

This places sales must be going through the fooking roof right now.

LSD may be destroyed by heat but wouldnt the smoke your breathing in from the end of the joint be filtered through the LSD that is not by the heat and in turn you are smoking LSD? You are breathing in LSD. Just a theory.

my buddies friend lives in the czech republic and he came back with 3 bottles a few weeks ago and that shit is awsome. mixed with beer and everclear it makes for a memorable night you cant remember the next day.

I can send you that stuff..How does it called??

you can buy it in the states. theres plenty of liqour stores down here that sell it. the only difference is it doesnt have the wormwood in it if you buy it in the states. but i heard the "real" stuff (with the wormwood) needs to mixed with sugar and water. otherwise i heard if you drink too much of it straight it can damage your body or something like that. but you can order off of the absinthe website, i dont have the URL but im sure Google could find it for you,.

I have had the opportunity to try it. It is a really dark green color, and for some reason(maybe i was t-rashed) but it kind of tasted like pine scent... Anyway you dilute like 2 shots worth in a pint glass with sugar and just that will F you up good. It is a different kind of drunk, the closest thing I can think that is somewhat like it is Jagermeister.

Here is a Recipe I found on webtender, I am kind of timid to try it.

Ingredients:
1 pint Vodka
2 tsp Wormwood, crumbled
2 tsp crumbled Anise seeds
1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
4 Cardamom pods
1/2 tsp Coriander, ground
2 tsp Angelica root, chopped
Mixing instructions:
Steep wormwood in vodka for 48 hours. Remove, add the rest and steep for one week. Age.

Creator/contributor's comments:
Note that this drink may be bad for your health. It is also illegal to make Absinthe in several countries.

Here is another

Ingredients:
1 bottle Vodka
50 gr Sugar
50 ml pure Anise extract
1 tblsp Licorice root, chopped
1 Wormwood twig
Mixing instructions:
Mix together and let sit a few days. Strain through a coffee filter. To serve mix 1 part absinthe to 4 parts water, add ice, enjoy

I have heard that the longer you let the wormwood age the closer it is to the real stuff. The worm wood is what mimics the THC and causes people to halucinate.

I hate to be the one bursting bubbles here, but the only reason you guys think this absinth is so great is because of the alcohal per volume specifications. There was a relatively large study on the types of ABSINTH created in the world in the winter of '03 after it exploded onto the mainstream market with the popular movie, Euro-trip.

The "Wormwood," that is supposedly an ingrediant, was found by many researchers to be a falsehood. I read an article on this in College. Some manufacturers claim their product contains the absinth ingredient (which targets the same neuron reseptors as THC in weed), yet when put to the test, most contained none.

The few manufacturers that do carry the wormwood ingredient in them, only carried a small amount. 10-15 PPM at MAX.

Real absinth would be around 300-350 PPM, which existed primarily in the late 1800s and very rarely in the early 1900s. Such artists as Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh were heavy absinth drinkers. VVG eventually killed himself because of his addiction.

Basically if you think you've been messed up because of the absinth, you are wrong. It's the alcohal. And I'll stick to my beer to get drunk. Tastes much better.
