this is a funny story..

i went to autozone the other day with a buddy of mine.. my turbo timer is set to 3 minutes, (i usually drive hard).. anyway.. my buddy and i hopped out, went into autzone..

i was standing in line behind some hick (this is southern illinois), he was checking on parts or something.. i noticed my car shuts off.. cool.. then.. this guy comes walking in and goes up to the guy who is in front of me t the counter..

he's like, (in a very hick-ish tone)... hey man.. dat dan mit-suuu-bishi outside just shut himself off.. i think its broke or something.. i start laughing under my breath.. the guy at the counter goes.. (hickish tone) weellll maybe them new cars just do that...

then i start busting out laughing my ass off, and try to politely tell them why the car does that..

kinda funny.. you really had to be there.

seems everyone but me gets questioned by strangers about the turbo timer. only people i know that never seen it ask me. no strangers. funny story none the less.

Yeah, people always look at me like I'm stupid when it shuts off.

yea, people tell me I left my car running all the time. I just wave the keys in front of their face and tell them they're crazy.

Man that's funny, I have that alot too. I get really weird looks when I try to explain a turbo timer and it's function. Good story.

hey I just put in my HKS type 1 us spec tonight, so I have not gotten that yet.

BUT, one time I was out in my car, "91 TSI 16psi Blitz BOV ect" and some guy pulled up in like a 95 vette..was newer than a 91 so I dunno. But the guy reved on me, the light turned green, and before long it was all over, I won.

The guy caught me at the next light and said "DAMN!, that thing is quick, but jesus, is it ok? Everytime you went and shifted, sounded like the damn tranny is gonna fall out, you might wanna get that checked out buddy"

I kind giggled and explained it was my blow off valve, the guy sat there with the strangest look on his face in silence for a sec, then said "hhmm, oh, I do not have one of those"

was funny as hell:laugh:

Yeah I get the turbo timer thing all the time. I normally plan it so when I leave the car to head into work there is 10 seconds left and people always look at me like dude you left your car on then it turns off and I arm the alarm...its to funny.

As for BOV stories I was running the RFL one time and was next to this mercedes....well like changes and I bang second (splash). Get to the light and the guy says dude I think you just blew your motor..... I laughed and said damn I better have that checked out.

I get asked all the time if I am gonna shut off my car. But the first time I had a TT in a car it blew me away. It was a 84 Skyline GT. I was living in japan. The TT was hooked up but the steering wheel didn't lock when you turned it. I went to the base and got my mail. Turn the car off but the keys were still in the ignition. My TT was running and it was an older one so it didn't beep at you or anything. I hopped in the car after I got the mail. The keys were in the ignition so I drove away. I got off base and in the middle of an intersection and the car shuts off. I was flipping out. Started the car then realized what I had screwed up on. I got allot of dirty looks from the traffic I held up. Not a good time to be a gaijin.

I went to get food one night and ther were cops sitting outside of the place eating. They lokked at me and said that I left my car on. I told them it would go off in a sec. When I came out from getting my food they, because they are cops and god like, told that it wasnt smart for me to leave my car running and not be with it. I told then I am not worried about it. They then ask why not. I had to explain the whole thing to then abiut the Ebrake switch and the wheel being locked. They still said that I am asking to get my car stolen. I told them that the one thing I didnt ask for was there opinion and left. Dicks.

Im guessing you dont have one

There is an e-brake shut off switch on my hks, so if sum idiot attempts to steal the car, as soon as he puts the e-brake down, bam, cars off and he better start running.

maybe you should have read my post i said arenmt you afraid some dum bass will steal your car then get out in middle of road wondering why it stopped.

Umm how are they gonna steal it if they dont take off the e-brake? If they do then it wont run without the keys.

It will run wothout keys. That the point of a TT. The wheel locked so if they do steal it they can only drive the way the wheels are pointing. Not to metion they only about 1-3 minutes to get as far as they can.

And maybe you should have read my post.......as soon as he hits the ebrake, it will shut off so he wont be driving down the street

you dotn ahve to shut off the e-brake to steal it and i said some dumbass thief. which means he just gets in pulls down e-brake, gets out of car in middle of road paring lot wherever,a nd wonders why it suddenly shut off.

I can't wait till my shit's turbo. Because even the people who know about TTs, know my car isn't turbo as they know it, so they'll really be like

I got a good one! One the first day of school this year I set the TT on 200 get out and lock the car, my principal is right behind me and says

Principal: you left your car on.

Me: Yeah! I know in going to leave it on all day so it blows up and I can get the color I want!

Principal:You can’t do this! I’m not going to let you it’s a beautiful car (grabs the keys from out of my hand) wait how is this happing?

The look on his face was priceless and he couldn’t figure out the concept till the 3rd time I had to tell him

Then the same day on the way out I get on it in my BOV sounds and scares the shit out of him so the next day he says if he ever hears that again I lose my driving permit
