I was wondering, I have a chance of buying a N/T engine to actually rebuild for cheap. The guy wants $900 Canadian for the engine which used to be automatic and $1100 for the engine which used to be standard. Are there many differences between the two or are the engines the same when there are no transmissions?

i may be wrong but i heard that manual engines have better cams, valves, rods, and tb im not sure if there is more but the manual is a better engine.

There's no engine code that differs between the standard and the automatic tranny. The only difference is between the flywheel and the tires. (That being the transmission)

The engines are the same. There are no differences once the trannies are off the engine so everything is fine. Thanks for the help dTERM.
