I read the tunning guide, so dont flame me :p But the tunning guide tells you how to get 300 or 400 horses, I want to stick around 350, so with all the 300hp Tunning Guide Stage 1 mods, what mods would be most helpful from the Tunning Guide Stage 2 (400hp)

Should I do all the Stage 1 Tunning Guide mods and then add a 16G Big Turbo, Turbo boost controll, and Fuel Management?

Any suggestions are fine, thank you. :thumb:

350hp huh?

16g ported
550cc injectors
boost controller
fuel controller
pocket logger
boost guage
egt guage
full 3" exhuast
either a FMIC or supra sidemount
2g o2 housing and exhuast manafold
hack the mas
K&N
UICP
clutch

that should be close if tuned right

for an extra $500 added to this list, he could get a 50-57 trim PTE turbo and 660 injectors and run 450 horsepower. why are people still flocking to the 16g when the 50 trims are so readily available in bolt on form these days?

3 inch full exhaust, no cat,550's,afc,mbc,small fmic,20g,exwg,2gmas.

Moved to knoobie forum. Also, its T-U-N-I-N-G, not tunning. :)

Well I would like to go higher then 350hp but I am concerned about the engine and how much gas the car is going to eat, this is going to be my daily driver, and as the Tuning guide says, to get 300hp will cost approx $2000 and to get 400hp will cost $5000, I would like to invest about $3000 into the engine and $2000 on tires/rims/suspension.

LOL, you want a 350hp turbocharged car, but your worried about fuel economy??
Take a step back and re-analyze your goals, cause this ones not happenin

I didnt say I want fuel economy I just dont want to go high up, If i wanted fuel economy I would buy a Civic Hybrid.

Anyone know what MPG will I be getting at 350? 300?

Thanks.

Well my guess is that if you have a 350hp car, your not gonna drive it like your moms minivan, so my thought would be your gas milegae is gonna be really shiiity. 10-15mpg, depending is what i would say.

if you stay out of boost, i don't see why your gas mpg would go drastically down, provided you have the car tuned correctly.

Well what is better on gas, a bigger turbo at low PSI or a small turbo at High PSI?

I dont really care too much about the gas, as long as it is reasonable, currently im getting 22mpg average on my car, and if i get 15-17 on the talon I'll be happy :)

You will be safe then if 15-17 is good for you. If you bought the tsi awd for a comuter then don't do it. But if you want to have some fun then that is a SMALL price to pay.

Just have fun and be safe!

Because 450hp tends to break things more than 350hp. :)

If you dont have a second car to drive when you break something your SOL. That sux.

I got a second car, so thats good, but I am probably going to mod to around 300hp and if that isnt enough, i'll mod some more :)

Thank you. :thumb:

It won't be enough, LOL! It will leave you wanting more. I am going with a nice 20g setup. I guess it can be a 300whp setup with the potetial for 380whp, on pump gas.

Going a little overboard on SOME things is ok. Just know what they are and if so make sure you can control whatever it is.
