Finally I broke down and bought a DSM. Last night I bought a 90 Plymouth Laser. It was very dirty and needed some work when I bought it. Last night I cleaned it up pretty good, peeled all the stickers off. Today I am going to buy a radiator and also going to put in a different 14B since the one that came with it was shot. A few small things and this thing will be up and running. Hopefully it's race ready soon. Just wanted to post the news. Pics will hopefully be up soon.

That's badass. Once it gets going it'll be a blast to drive and you'll love it........til it breaks again. hahahahah j/k

Welcome again to the world of tuning, believe it or not you'll learn alot doing things yourself, and eventually you'll get more addicted to speed, congrats on your new addition, and have fun with your DSM.!

I already have the speed adiction, just now I can drive the car. My neighbor has the same year Laser, so I pretty much have been riding with him and watching him do the work on his car. I am still trying to get access to a digital camera. When I do, pics will be up soon.

Odd, most buy a DSM and _then_ break down. Don't be alarmed, it'll give you a break down in no time.

Then again, you could be one of us who just drive and drive and drive....

hows the laser running now? any pics yet?

good luck man

when i first got mine i drove it home took 30min to get there. no probs at all then the next time i turned the key it all went to hell
i had to replace my 14b as well first thing

dsm for ya still love it it was real nice for 30min

Well I got some pics finally. The radiator, fans, and turbo are all put in. The only problem now is it wont start. Seems like it's going to be one thing after another. I took the oil cover off, looked down in and bam three rocker arms (rollers) where laying in their. I then popped the top cover on the head off and discovered their where a total of 10 rocker arms (rollers) just laying in their. So needless to say, I have some work ahead of me, that I don't know much about. Anyways here is some pics.

Actually it is a Plymouth Laser. Here read the back of the car. Remember though, Eclipse, Laser, and Talons can use the same parts. That center piece is off of a car from the junk yard. So actually I am not the retard. Just think about things before you go on the forums and try bashing someone.

laser looks good under the hood might need work right now but the outside is tight

If the rockers fell down, you probably need a new set of lash adjusters because your old ones are full of crud.

Make sure you change the oil, since that's the #1 likely reason they're blocked up.

John, you took the words out of my mouth. Sorry I haven't called, someone stole my cell phone.

indeed, i have been put in my place, thank you kind sir

i really have been too mad at my car lately to think about things....

It's cool man, don't even worry about it. Stuff happens. All I was trying to do was post my car. I understand about the whole being pissed off thing, cause right now I am a little frustrated with my DSM. When I bought it, I was told it just needed a turbo and radiator. Both where put in and now I run into a head problem. This thing is costing me a fortune. I still owe my neighbor $1000 for the car, since he lent me the money. I put the money in for fixing it and now I need to buy a head. All the junkyards I call, don't have motors for the car, so I am kind of screwed at this point. The cheapest route I found was a Jasper motor for $3,100 before labor. I just want to get this thing running.
