Your intentions are well founded so no worries. The people who are in the know took it for what it was.

Thanks, I just wanted to make that clear.

Like I stated above there is always some ignorant person that hides behind a keyboard that has to open his mouth.

Well said. I call those people 'internet tough-guys', derived from the older 'telephone tough-guy.'

i remember when i was first sent this Vid by the guys at BEP. I was blown away. they sent it when i was asking questions about the Borg warner turbo i purchased from them for my street car. Such an awesome video. I wish i could have really seen what it put down before the HG exploded.

I didn't like the fact that it took so long to spool either but the car is setup to run like a 200shot of nitrous and the placement was only because the shop took off the Garrett turbo that was on there and just bolted this one on.

When you find a motor that runs on gas and can reliably hold 80PSI and make well over 1200 RWHP then you can comment.

thats why I brought up the viper thing. If a company is selling 900 rwhp cars as daily drivers, I think they could handle 1200 pretty easily. They even have a dyno sheet on their site of a 1123 pull or something.

Dude, just STFU already. All I hear from you is: Blah blah WTF hood. Blah blah blah blown motor. Blah blah blah why why why?

:beatentodeath:
sorry I didn't know what those rims were called. My bad, so now we aren't allowed to ask questions on this site?

Its nice to see there are so many angry people on this site.

I'd talk to you in person, but were kinda far away, aren't we. Just because I said something online you didn't like doesn't mean you can just assume I wouldn't say it if we were talking in person or something. I don't even know what that has to do with anything. Im not hiding behind my keyboard, Im simply using it just like you are.

boostedinaz: post number 18 is exactly something I would expect from a wiseman, you went through my post and replied to it without getting angry or calling me ignorant and telling me to shut up. Although my first post wasn't eligant either.

Supra's have been making well over 1200 RWHP for some time with a lot smaller turbo's. Ryan Woon, a local to me, has made 1400 with a stroker and, I believe, a GT42R. The dyno they were on was only rated to 1200 WHP and the car maxed it out as soon as boost came on and quickly went past 80 PSI so they let off.

Obviously a car with almost three times the displacment will make more power on less octane. If you really wanted a true pump gas champion put twin 42R on a 800 CID motor and make 1500+ on pump.

youd make more torque at idle than most street t00nerz will ever make in their lifetime.

*wipes screen and keyboard*

oops. i hate it when that happens.

I do apologize, as I was not directing that comment toward you, just making a generalized statement. I don't want to come off to you like I was attacking you at all. :coy:

If I even win the lottery or become wealthy somehow I will have something that crazy.

Here is a link just to illustrate boostedinaz's point.

Twin GT42 powered rustang....

http://www.turbomustangs.com/feature_cars/steve.php

Also, that is ONLY a 337 Lunati stroker (302 stroked + a bore).

If you are too lazy to click the link it runs 8.60's on a powerglide and regularly hits the streets...scary.

If you have any passion for cars what-so-ever you can appreciate a V8 singing WITH boost.

Also, check out the in car video and watch the papers SLAM off of his dash when he launches and make sure you get a towel or some tissues when you hear both GT42's spooling all the way down the track.

I was thinking more along the lines of something really stupid like 815 cubic inches of love. With 17:1 compression they make around 1700 HP all motor. Drop that down to 10:1, EFI, the right cam, and two equally stupid sized turbo's and see what happens.

Oh i hear ya cluckin big chicken.

http://www.flatlanderracing.com/strokerford-460806.html <-------- 460 stroked to an 806 for a paltry 6k

http://www.rpmmachine.com/ford-460-806-stroker.shtml ditto

Thats with no bore I think (not sure of the 460 cylinder ID from the factory) but I hear what you are saying, the only thing is finding a car that it fits in, haha.

Of course your old muscle cars can house them, but the modern day cars (Fox's, F-body's, ect) dont even remotely have enough under the hood space for a BB AND a big single or twin setup.

I was actually kicking around the idea of a Low Comp big block in a 96ish caprice/impala. The LT1's in there look like a toy there is so much space. Of course this is all just thinking, Im in no position to start a project such as this. I have to get the galant up to where I want it before I delve into a 5-10 year project like this.

But 1500+ hp on pump would be no problem and you wouldnt even be stressing the engine; the cranks are billet and the blocks are bullet proof. You would probaly have more problems with the HG than anything.

Well, enough day dreaming, back to real life.

That was awesome, that one guy almost lost a finger. Hopefully they get that head problem fixed and we see another vid.
