I know the difference is ones cf, and the other is fiberglass, but it is the same(look wise) And which one will hold up better. The fiberglass one is 125 and the cf is 280. And does anyone have the fiberglass, i searched and didnt find anyone who had it?

I'm not sure I understand why you even need to ask this question.

Neither. Go with the cheaper one, you WILL munch it.

I dont know i am lowered 1.7 and i never scratch, i am pretty careful.

The RMDSM lip will sit even lower than that.

1.7" drop? and your going to add one of those lips? you will scrape EVERY time. maybe if you go 1mph EVERY time you reach a dip, but how realistic is that. I have a 1.7" drop too. I hate it. Unless you drive that thing only on weekends, I would rethink about getting those lips. Or perhaps get suspension that will raise your car up a bit.

Here is RMDSM lip on STOCK suspension

Ok, sweet, my first hand experience will definately help you here.

I had the FCF carbon-fiber lip on my Talon. Well, it's still on there now, but not in such good shape.

When I bought the lip, it had a hairline crack in it. Seemed sturdy as all hell when I put it on though.

Well, some kid forgot to tie down a power washer in the back of his pickup truck, it fell out, I hit it doing 40mph. This is what the lip looks like now. Keep in mind, this is after it drug underneath the car for like 100 feet. And it still scrapes. Don't laugh at the tape either.

It's only cracked all the way through in 2 places, and 1 of them is where it was cracked to begin with. Right in the center where the bumper ate it, and next to the Tein sticker. The stickers are just because if it's gonna be broke, I might as well make it a joke.

So, to answer your question, yes that thing is pretty sturdy. I only paid $150 shipped for mine off of a forum member. I love how it looked. I'd buy it again.

The reason behind my original post was that Fiberglass is known for easily crunching on curbs and driveways (body kit bumpers for example) Carbon Fiber is what they make race cars out of. It just seems extremely obvious (to me anyways) which would hold up better.

It's an older pic. Everything from the left side of that sticker is gone and I use "JDM" tape to fix it. Fiberglass has more flexability than carbon fiber. I can just go to the auto store pick up some mat and repair.

Carbon fiber is stronger, but much more expensive and harder to repair. I'd go with the fiberglass as you can almost be certain that at one point or another you'll crunch into something.

While carbon fiber is stronger, its not easier to repair. Also im guessing these lips use a maximum of three layers or carbon sheet. The race cars get a little thicker.
