OOOOOOWN3D. I love watching the cops get raped, Camaro driver is teh b4d. "Its gotta special computer chip that makes it faster" WOW SWEET DUDE. To bad you cant even keep up with a 15 year old, and he punk'd your ass.

they lied. they never caught the guy. if they showed a badass pursuit like that and let the public know he got away, people would lose faith in the cops.

though i just love the ignorance of that show. "mind boggling speeds of almost 120 miles per hour". yeah, thats mind boggling, unless youve ever driven the autobahn at 170 easy. or "the BMW's 240hp motor is no match for the camaros 350" then seconds later, the BMW smokes him like hes a bad habit. or the dumbass driver "yeah it has the corvette motor and a chip, so it cant be outrun by normal street vehicles" yeah obviously.

yea I was kinda suprised they didnt show the whole "Get on the ground" thing, when they do in every other clip.

x2

It may be that the kid is a minor and cant have his name or picture released? Thats all i can think of?

Maybe, but I would think they would have just blurred his face, or something to that effect.

Yea I've seen this before. The reason they didn't show them arrest the kid is because he GOT AWAY! This happens alot on that show, the person gets away and they just claim they caught him. If you look at the part where the BMW "breaks down" at 3:55 its the exact same clip as when the BMW lays on the breaks and makes a U-turn at 2:13. They just replayed the clip of the kid putting on the brakes. Theres also debate as to whether they ever caught the guy running in the TSi AWD 1st Gen in that famous vid. They never showed them arrest him either.

Yeah, I just watched it and they did replay the slowdown before the spikes, but a little slower, same exact thing though. He got away.

Umm BMW are built for high speeds, that car could do 160mph all day long and not break down. I would love to see the cops intercepter car do 160 for more then 10 mins with out overheating. That cop couldnt drive for crap either, he spun out swerving at 120 when the kid was dodging the spike strips at even higher speeds.. The kid has skills.

Well they can run plates you know. He might have gotten away from the chase, but they couldve caught him later due to tracking him down VIA the plates. Or seeings they can lie about catching him, they can lie about him being 15, hell it might not even be a him.

Had the cop had an LS1 isnstead of the LT1, it might have been a bit different... ;)

Actually, almost every BMW in the country is limited at 155 mph. :p

CV interceptors are pretty badass cars, but they are not sportscars. They can handle high speeds fine... I dunno about 160... Oh, and most cars won't overheat at high speeds... Do you have any idea how much air flow you're getting through your radiator at 160 mph?

That M3 looked like an E30 to me.. the n/a (not supercharged) 4 cylinder one with only around 190hp..

Yup...Those were--and still are--amazing cars. 190 hp with individual throttle bodies. There was an Evolution version with 220hp... Amazing for an n/a 2.3L 4 cyl back in 1989. Maybe playing NFS really does help your driving skills ROFL

E30 M3 ftw.

Probably one of my favorite cars ever. I'd really like to know how they did figure he was 15. And if he really did get away.

It ain't a real M3 unless it got fours and flares!

LOL... seriously though, e30 M3 is one of my favorite cars. Back before BMW went "soft" and made sports cars with a bit of luxury, rather than luxury cars with some sport.

I'd rock an E36 m3 too... they're just not nearly as cool.

Yea he probably got away, they said he broke down, just like they said the DSM did, the DSM I can see breaking down but i still think they both got away. Kids got some driving skill for being 15 though, stupid way to use it though.

i thought the 1g awd just broke down and coasted into a grassy field or something. or didnt he try to go through a field and his t-case broke?

and yeah, theyre just saying hes 15 to make him sound more dangerous than it is. and yeah, mr cop is a pansy. if i was next to someone at 120 and he gestured to sideswipe me, the best thing to do is hold your ground(IE if he does ram, ram back) or just slam on the brakes and let him fly by, if youre lucky you get a two-fer and me might not react and try to ram thin air and wipe himself out, not swerve into the median at 100mph.

now that i think about it i do believe they showed the DSM drifting to a stop.
