Well I decided to stop procrastinating and 'recharge' my K&N today. It was to the point where my hands would get filthy just working around the filter so I decided it needed some help.

Attached are the photos of the cleaning in chronological order.
076s - Rinse 1
077s - Sink after Rinse 1
079s - Rinse 2
080s - Rinse 3... thats more like it!

I wouldn't be suprised if you just picked up a few MPG right there...not to mention power. That's crazy. Also, nice collection of Post-Its

My girlfriend would have killed me if I did that in the bathroom sink. She freaks if I was my greasy hands in the sink.

Don't really know how it started really. At first it was a few notes with "Big Bosses" drawn on them. Then "I pee'd clear so I dont have to flush" and now its kind of a tradition for people to make a note when they come over

anyways, Why does it say it performs better as it gets dirtier, or why do I hear that a lot. Is it rubbish or truth? I'm gonna go check my K&N airfilter box to check what it says on that. btw theres a talon on the airfilter box I bought, total coincidence.

mmm nothing better than washing a filter in the sink and posting a note up about it. Good times.

When they say perform better they mean, actually does its job of filtering air better. The more crap on the filter the more it keeps out, the dust and the dirt acts as a secondary sheild so to say.
