Ok when I push down on the my trunk repeatdly, my suspension bounces like a trampoline, its crazy, why is it doing this? I guess it has shock springs and KYB or whatever shocks. The front isn't nearly as bad, but my back end bottoms out when it drops off a speed bump or something, scrapping my muffler if the bump is big enough. How do I fix this?

Well, the first thing I would do is to take a look at the bottoms of your rear shocks. If there is a ghastly amount of dirt, grime, etc on them but the rims themselves are pretty clean, more than likely your shocks are shot.

You should be able to push it down, and it will rebound up, and that's it.
If it's boucning, your shocks are shot and they are not doing their job of controlling the spring.

If what GSntncT suggested didn't help you take care of your problem, you might as well take a day to go into depth with it. If you still have your stock shocks, try using those and see if the problem persists. If it is alot better, then you might as well purchase new shocks. I myself really like my setup with Koni shocks and Eibach prokit springs. Very stiff and gives GREAT control, but it's not what Id recommend if you like luxury comfort. Anyhow, good luck. Artist.

I've only had the car for 2 months, and it came with the shocks on it. And I just gave it a super bath today rims included so no way to look for the grims and stuff. On a good note I did take off the ugly stickers on the doors. :)

I see. Well, if it is the shocks, driving just a few miles will have the shocks extremely dirtied up again. Does one side bounce more than the other?

Yah the back shocks bounce, I push them down and they bounce two or three times. The front ones slightly bounce, but not nearly as bad. also the car will kinda sway up and down while going down the freeway kinda like a boat, the front end will raise and lower and raise and lower, looks like a boat.

No, I meant like left rear side, and right rear side. I remember you stating that the front shocks are holding up fine.

When my friend bought his gs used he had the same exact problem it was ridiculous, we were on the highway once a cop pulled us over because he said the back of the car was bouncing up and down like a pogo stick. I finally got him to order some new shocks and once I put them in the car was fine. I know exactly what your describing though, it was terrible, I could make the back of his car bounce up and down at least 6 in. with one hand. I would deffinitely replace those shocks.

yah, I can do that with the rear shocks. Would I be ok if I bought only a pair of Tokica rear shocks? and got the front shocks later? Or would they not work out?

I have the same problem but in the front. Be careful not to go too fast with your car in that conidition. God forbid you hit a bump going fast on the highway, you will be thrown into the next lane or even lose control.

I also agree with switching to your stock struts if you have them or getting new aftermarket struts. The sooner the better.

This description is the perfect example of blown struts(or shocks as you refer)

Struts dampen the osillations(sp?) of the spring and nothing more than that. If what you say is true then replace with whatever your heart desires and have a nice ride once again:D
