The other night I was oon the turnpike going about 55 with little/no boost when motor started grinding and severe power loss. Sounded like a bad turbo but minutes later the bottom peice of my piston rod blew through my block just below intake. I had good oil pressure and checked oil before I left. Car never overheated. The oil pressure never dropped until the rod came through the block. I have a slight grinding noise for about a week before but it sounded like nothing more than a loose plastic cover or something insignificant.
