This morning i was backing up, put the clutch in, and hit the brakes and heard a very LOUD squeal from the back. At first I thought I had rubbed up against a dumpster that sits there. I only had a chance to glance at the brakes, and they look fine. This only happens when I'm going backwards. Any thoughts?

probably rotors and pads are bedded for braking while going foward, brake some more going backward, when was the last time you changed your brakes??

I have brand new rotors pads and calipers and mine does the same thing i was told that one of the silencer clips is missing well its there but its not holding the pad in place and only catches the top half of the rotor. anyways the first time you hit the brakes does it feel like its slipping on the back wheels like it doest wanna stop.

No, it doesn't slip or anything, it is just loud. It scares people walking by because they always stop and stare and say "what the hell?" I thought it might be something wrong with the parking brake. Hmm
