ok here it goes...some guy i kno has a turboxs h-34 bov that he wants to sell im interested in it cuz its only 50 bucks.. now i want to kno from first hand experience if this is a good bov and if it sounds decent?? thanks guys

I dont know about that specific model, but i dont care for TurboXS products... but save the 50 bucks IMO, it doesnt get much better than the stock 1G BOV for most applications, unless your lookin to go the ricer way and vent to the atmosphere cuz 'it sounds cool'

$50 for a TurboXS H-34? you should pick it up for that price.. i think thats a very good price.. and this bov can be recirculated.. maybe it will give you a louder recirculated bov.. though ur stock 1g bov is good enough.. it doesn't hurt to get this.. esp at the cost..

Racing Bypass Valve Type-H34 $179.00
Our highest flowing valve, the Racing Bypass Valve Type-H34 is designed to be plumbed back into the intake. Designed for high boost applications, the RBV H34 is recommended for turbocharged engines running 10 to 25 psi boost.

I love mine... it holds boost, dosn't leak at idle... just remember to lube the piston before you install it... and if you aren't going to get it... tell him I'll buy it for $50...

what experience do you have with turboXS products? you don't have any mods on your car... I have the TruboXS Dual Stage BC, and the TXS H-34R CBV... and they are nothing short of awesome... the Boost controller gives rock solid control on bolth high and low settings, and you can switch between the two at ANY TIME... even under full boost... with just the flick of a switch... the H-34 CBV (BOV) is an ALL metal design, piston type valve... crisp response, no leak at idle, no leak at boost, and it is easily adjustable, just add or remove the load washers... and YES it IS louder than any recirculated CBV that I have ever seen, that is enherant with the all metal design, and the crisp response... if you do not want to hear your BOV... don't drive a turbocharged car... if you have some secret reason that you dislike TXS products, please enlighten us, as I have YET to see a problem with them.

the HKS SSQV is a very pretty valve... and it has inserts so you can change the tone of the valve... but in order to use them you can not recirculate it, and venting COULD cause off throtle hesitation, and will almost certanly cause you to run rich between shifts due to loss of metered air, which will foul your spark plugs very quickly. This BOV has also been proven to cause compressor surge, due to slow actuation, which kind of defeats the purpose of having a BOV at all. I know a lot of people that are happy with the sound of the SSQV, but honestly, I think that unless you are showing your car, it is not worth the money/hassle.

the Blitz SSDD has the same problems inherent with venting to the atmosphere, but is not as pretty, or expensive as the HK$ valve. The compressor surge is not as pronounced with the Blitz, but it is still there.

turbospyder...your not venting but can you if you wanted to with that bov?

yes... it is the same valve as the RFL... it just has a recirc fitting instead of a horn... all I would have to do is pull the hose between the intake and the BOV, and cap the intake... and it would vent to the atmosphere, and be loud as hell...

and I was serious BTW... if you aren't going to buy it... I will pick it up for $50

that's cool... good call man... you won't regret it.... just make sure that you get your UICP flanged for it... and before you install it... take it apart and LUBE the cylinder... just a drop or two of regular motor oil... very thin layer on the piston...

Jesus friggin Christ man calm down.. No I dont have any mods on my car, but I have a couple friends who have used some of their products (specifically MBC's) that have had some troubles, and when they tried to get help, they werent the most helpful of people... If you like TurboXS thats fine, youve had good experiences and thats great, I just wont be using their products... Oh and i never said I didnt like the sound of a BOV, I just meant itd be stupid to vent to atmo. just for the sound because it hurts performance...

peace
