Im sure most people just paint over their stock ones. Just go find one from pick n pull and do whatever to it.

Yea its just the stock piece painted, I think it looks great on all colors that dont resemble the red of the taillights like mine and the sonaro red. Good luck.

Hey how's it going. I'm looking to paint my middle tail light soon and looking to see if there's any good guides, so it comes out looking good/blending in with the car. Also if there's any paints that work well with my color, so i don't have to have a special paint mixed.

My car is the meridian silver pearl. I'm looking to paint the piece the same color, and paint the eclipse letters black. If anyone can give me feedback/help it would be real nice, thanks.

anyone know anywhere that might sell these side markers that will ship to canada?

thx

Did you try ebay? Those look very familiar, I've seen them somewhere, but I can't recall where. If you haven't checked ebay, give it a shot. They usually ship to Canada, so hopefully you find something. Good Luck.

i bought clears off ebay and vht nightshades and sprayed them smoke. Looks damn good.

i have those... they look sweet epecially with clear bulbs (that flash amber of course!)

Worst comes to worst, have someone buy them for you in the USA and then have them ship them to canada.

Would it be possible for you to post a pic? I also have clears and had the same idea of hitting them with some Niteshades and wondered how it would look.

I was wondering if it will work better to buy a windown tint and put them on the tail lights to get the smoked /blacked out look. Or paint them with niteshades?? spray. Or any other Ideas. There is not many answered or detailed threads on this so anyone who has done it or knows how, any tips or paint to buy. thanks

Alright I have 2 choices:

1. buy the VHT Nite Shades stuff and smoke my tail lights

2. buy these, http://www.machv.com/gtsstylcov90.html

For #1. I like the cheap part of it, and I know it usually looks good with this stuff.
But, I'm not much of a painter and stuff, and I dont want a grainy, rough finish on my tail lights, I want them to have that plastic, glossy feel and look.

Also, once theyre painted, theyre painted. no goin back

For #2. I like that I can take them on or off, but anyone have experience with these? I want a clean finish, no poping off or hanging. Also I want to be able to keep my center piece with the ECLIPSE emblems, but obviously this is going to cover it(hopefully i wouldnt have to remove them, cause I wont)

For the price of the covers though; I dont think its that bad, since if I ended up doing the Nite Shades paint, I would buy another set of tail lights to paint(~$35 or more), so I can go back and forth, or ultimately choose which ones I like better.

go with the paint. ive seen the covers in person, and they look absolutely terrible. they stick out way too far and, imo, theyre just ricey. if you dont feel comfortable painting them yourself, im sure a quick google query could bring you to a company that would smoke them for you. if you dont like it, pm me and ill trade you a stock set of tails for them if youd like.

i agree with the painting of the lights instead this will also allow you eclipse logo to be visible

I would just paint a 1inch wide strip on the top of the tails, it looks clean and original.

Or you could use RC tint that is found in hobbie shops which is around $6 a can and is the same as nightshades.
