ok so lets organize the first DSM meet of the year. we need to pick a good date and a location. ive never been to one, so i dont know where the traditional spot is. anyone have any ideas?

There are a lot of DSMs here in Schaumburg. It's just 20 mins outside of Chicago for those who don't know. I'm sure if there is a DSM meet goin on I could get about 5 or 6 cars from around here ready, depending on when it's goin down, and who's got broken shit haha.

ahhh a local streeter....sup alex im from streamwood, you ever go up to strat's ??? or the dupage airport? well if alex is gonna bring 6 cars, i got 6 cars, sounds like turnouts this year are going to be pretty big.

Maybe some of us Michigan guys can make it down sometime.

Hey man, whatsup. I just got the car a couple months ago and I've been working on it. When it gets a little warmer I will for sure be out at stratford square. If we both bring 6 cars, it should be a good turnout for sure. We just gotta set up a meet day and time when the weather gets a little better. We could even look at mid March? Like, March 18th, which is a Saturday? I guess it all depends on the weather.

i havent posted in a VERY LONG time, but i'm definitely down for getting back in the scene i think. my car is running but i took a lotta stuff off of it sadly...anyhow i think we should do the usual north meets south meet.. North starts out at Hooters up in schuamburg i am uncertain of south's location, and then we all meet up at the Portillo's i think its in oakpark correct me if i am wrong. then do the usual cruise down lower wacker and to the planatarium and all... if there is a lotta interest we should get on this ###### set up a date in early late feb early march.

Where does everyone typically meet up at?

That definitely sounds good to me man, I live less than 2 miles away from the Hooters in Schaumburg. The North meets south thing sounds super good though. I haven't been to a meet yet, so I'm for sure ready to get out to one.

So, someone should be the head of this whole meet. Anyone wanna take over as captain/organizer? I can do it if no one else is dying to be called captain, haha.

Yeah, Im up for a meet....IF I have my crankwalk issue all fixed up. I say we wait untill some warmer weather comes along. No fun standing in the 30* weather. Mabye like april. Or late march.

Yea man, I hear you on that one. That's how I feel too. Like I said mid March, or early April. A lot of people will be gone over spring break including myself, so that probably is not the best week to go ahead and try to get a meet going. Not to mention half of us will be too hammerd to safely operate a motor vehicle. haha

So what is everyone else feeling? Mid March? (Like, Saturday, March 18th). Or early April sometime?

man aside from the meet, im usually on the streets duing the summer every night. in fact last season ive setup more during the week then on the weekends. the weekends seem to be the weekend warriors that come out (no offense to anyone) but thursday nights are really big in schaumburg here, we average around 40 cars cruising...we should get our crews up and just cruise sometime.. if you got aim get at me.

I think if we could plan it out for the spring, turnout would be better...April sounds awesome to me, late march too I guess since that's when my school's Spring Break gets out and I am not going anywhere...

The last REAL meet I was at was last year's AMS cookout which was just amazing....Modded DSM's and Evo's from all over the chicago area and food to boot!

Let me know what's going on with this, the Wisconsin guys have an awesome thread going for one of their later spring meets, and I think there enough chi dsm'rs to make an equally impressive meet...

well soon as weather breaks im throwing a dsm BBQ couple of days ago me and few other dsmer's went and got 450 pounds of meat from a farm and had 200 patties made etc so im hoping soon as it gets warm we can have a meet and all get together

I'm in. I was at the one last year, the last one they had were we met up at Hooters. And drove downtown chi town. That was also when I was mostly stock, now I have a few more goodies, but I need to get my SBR FMIC on does anyone know of a garage I could use, because I live in a apratment and it sucks having no where to work on my car. The one last year was cool though.

We should have had a get together tonight! -25 degree wind chills would have kept the beer VERY cold!

As soon as the frigid weather decides to head for the mountains, we plan on doing a swap meet and bbq soon, figure around March or so? I'll bring it up at our next meeting and see if I can get a date for you guys.
