First car was a 1984 Volvo 240 series...
Got it from my parents for my 17th birthday. Owned it for about 1 year and a half, until I was in a MINOR accident caused by a drunk driver...Since it was a Volvo, his car was totaled and mine only sustained a dented front quarter/hood. His insurance company settled, and I ended up making a profit on it. Go figure. Two weeks after the accident, however, one of the engine mounts caught fire and the motor partially fell out of the engine bay while I was driving down the highway. :notgood:

After that, I inherited my dad's 93 Mazda Protege. Crap car, and super slow, but never really gave me any problems. Stolen from my driveway one night, and never recovered. Boo.

I then very briefly owned a 1974 Porsche 911, which I fixed up a bit and promptly sold, due to the fact that it practically ate money. Really cool car, though. Now that I have a "real adult income", I might get another one someday to play with ;)

Shared a 1995 Nissan Maxima....Great car, not too many problems, but high mileage. Ex boyfriend took it out one day and the lower radiator hose blew....he continued to drive the car for an unknown amount of time (presumably until the block cracked and the car took a crap). Sad. :(

Bought a 1989 Volvo 740 Turbo which surprisingly hauled insane amounts of ass, considering the weight. I drove it from Dallas to Oklahoma City and back every weekend for over a year, with nothing more than routine oil changes. I took it to Best Buy to get a new CD player installed one afternoon and they somehow shorted out the entire electrical system in the car, however. Not a cheap fix, but I managed to make them pay for it. I sold this car shortly after I bought my next car.........

I bought a 1991 Eclipse GS-T in April 2003, and shortly thereafter became a mechanic (haha).. That car was my baby. I put 6,000 miles on that car in a span of three months (Dallas to Oklahoma City / Oklahoma City to Albuquerque, New Mexico / Albq. to Dallas / Dallas to Chicago / Chicago to Madison, WI / Madison to Chicago / then back to Dallas) and managed to maintain a perfect 162 psi compression across all 4 cyls. :thumb: She was stolen New Year's Day 2004. R.I.P. :((

Next came a 2003 Mustang GT, which is technically my boyfriend's car. I use it for jump starts and rides to the auto parts store when my car is broken. (LOL)

I bought my 1990 GSX in July and finally got her running on 1/1/2006. She has always been a weekend driver car, and has been garaged most of her life. Aside from the issues caused by a neglectful previous owner, she is in pristine condition, and looks like she had some owners who really cared about her in her past. I have big goals for her, of the sub-12-second variety.
