I just got done smoking my rear tails to get rid of that orange look, and when I was done with that I took apart my headlights to change the chrome look to black and while I was in there I made my own angel eyes as well. I then put one coat of the stuff I used on my tails on the headlights as well, jus to give them that smoked look. I think it turned out well. I smoked the tails of my friends scion tc and did his headlights as well. Let me know what you think.

I like the rear, makes it different. I'm trying to see what the " T A L O N " would look like in grey or silver lettering

i like the rear a lot.. makes the talon rear look much cleaner/better IMO.. what you did or when people red them out should be done with all 2g talon owners :) jk, unless they do the usual eclipse conversion.. good job with the headlights too, but I'm biased towards the 97-99 eclipse lights :) but that does not apply to you since your keeping it as a talon..

I like them alot. Especially the rear. How did you smoke them and what did you use. I have been thinking my 1st gen could use some smoked lights just not sure how to go about it. I guess the search bar maybe :p

Looks good.

looks awesome! Im plannin on doing that to my eclipse this spring with some stuff I found online its from japan and apparently you don't need to add clear because it comes with some stuff in it already to make it shiny and not dull

Awesome job! That looks very nice. Get the smoked corner bumper lights and complete the clean look.

Thanks alot guys, I used some stuff called "NiteShades" you can buy it online at www.carper4mance.com. It is like $11 a can or something. I used a full can on my lights, so you may want to get 2 cans just to make sure. When you do it, or if you decied to do it I would suggest using acitone to clean off the lights, then using 2000 grit sandpaper to clean them up more. I sprayed like 4 light coats of it on there, you have to be carfull not to spray too much or it will run and look bad. If you have any questions let me know, otherwise thanks for the props guys.

The tails look great...all of the black together flows well:thumb: The headlights aren't really up my alley but I give you a lot of credit for the work you did...nice work:thumb:

haha, making your own angel eyes... 2 years ago... there was as many threads about doing that as there was turbo kit questions...

wow, very nice tail lights, looks real stealthy from rear:thumb: I definately like the headlights as well, how did you do the angel eyes. Pm me about it. :rocks:

wow, that looks real hot man. :thumb: how did you do the angel eyes? PM me bout it, would like to know if you can do the angel eyes on a 1G.

ANyone from michigan know the laws on smoking your front and tail lights?

Its illegal... all around. I got yelled at, but never cited for it. Mine aren't as dark anymore, so I never get bugged. Just put the head light covers one with velcro and if you get a ticket, take em off... then put em back on 3 days later

looks awesome! the angel eyes are a little tricky if you arent good with electronics but yours came out awesome!

Wow that's sexy as shit!.....I'm in love with the tail lights and the whole black on black w/ polished lip look. Any suspension parts on your list? :thumb:

Thanks alot guys for all the props. The angel eyes were not that difficult, I was a little weary of baking my headlights but it all turned out really well and in the end I was happy with the resuts. I want to get some suspension mods but right now I am working on the evo3 and fmic. I get a bonus in 3 weeks from work and both are going on at the same time. I dont know to much about suspension so I need to do some reading up on it, I was thinking eibach pro kit with some Tokico gas shocks but I dont know yet, I want a nice ride and enough of a drop to clear some wheel gap up. Once again thanks alot guys for the props.

That looks awesome! How long did it take you to do the halo retrofit? I used to drive around with smokeouts on my headlights until I got pulled over one morning on my way to work and the fuzz made me take them off even though it was in the daylight morning!!!?? Anyway, good job man!

nice i usually hate the talon tailights, but you did an awesome job with that:thumb:

OT but i love the lip on those rims, very hot.
