Alright here is the deal I have a 1985 Fiero gt 3spd thm125c automatic 2.8 lt mpfi v6. Now PLEASE do not bash me for this there is no point i am going to do it anyway. I am putting this in this sub forum because i can't really think where this belongs
Some friends and i have seen almost everything done to this car and I was thinking hey what has not well a decent turbo 4cyl with a decent tranny. So here is the deal. I am looking at the 4g63 from an anything (if it has the same bolt pattern) Oh and trust me it will fit- one of us has a 500ci motor in his Fiero. Never been taken. I am looking for more of a race car not a drag car.
1. I will need a transversely mounted fwd tranny that will be able to hold to 300hp and 350tq to the wheels. Out of a what? Cost? Where do i get it? Does anyone know the weight of that tranny?
2. How much is the 4g63 going to run me for the cheapest? Where? Out of a what? And I need to know the weight of that engine.
3. Has this motor ever been carbureted?
4. If this cannot be carbed with out making my own manifold. then i will need to have a wiring harness. Do I have to use one that came with a 4g63 or can i use a aftermarket wiring harness? The Fiero could use a new harness as it is- being 20 years old.
I don't know if i am missing any questions but if there are issues other than complete and utter customization let me know.
