well after 3 years of trying me and my friends finally got our hotel reserved for this years shoot out at the BestWestern usually we get stuck w/ crapy hotels 20 miles away...so hury and get your hotel they said they dont have much left!

Whoa, according to expedia.com i got the last room they had at the Econo Lodge 2 beds and a roll away, hopefully ill bring some locals

They used to have a class for all N/T cars, but they didn't last year, it was either 4g63 Turbo, or dont run, it didn't matter what the motor was in, as long as it was 4g63 powered.

Location...directions?? is there a website for this?? This will probably be my first shootout(so first time questions)...

Buschar racing in toledo Ohio. Wakeman is actually where the shootout is, but its basically Toledo where cedar point amusement park is (same exit) So just get driving directions for cedar point and you will be set. Buschar racing puts the event on, so you can just go to thier site for info on the event.

Isn't Cedar Point in Sandusky? And Buschur Racing is in Wakeman. The track is in Norwalk.

i sware to god if i had a trailer i would go.... cant stand to see that many miles put on the talon that fast.

yeah, I'm trying to get my turbo conversion done by june so I can get it tuned for the shootout, it would be nice if they had a bracket for 1g N/T and 2g N/T though.

Those are all the same exit, and within 10 mins of each other

If anyone wants to go but can't find room, I live a lil less than 40 minutes away and have 2 extra bedrooms @ my house. I'll just say you guys are friends from college . Just let me know.

I'm still debating whether I want to do what I did last year and just drive down the morning of the race, or whether I should get a hotel a few miles away. Part of me wants to go to Buschur's on Saturday and hang out and cruise that night, but part of me wants to stay away from the insanity that goes on. I guess I'll see what my wife thinks about driving early in the morning again or staying in a nice cushy hotel.

Just booked my room.

Last year we rolled into the Econo Lodge and got the last room...so for some reason i dont think that they are all reserved already. Last year it was CRAZY....it was a great time, ill definately be there this year, running faster.

yea last year my dsm Died 2 days b4 the shoot out...brand new turbo = dead...so this year my car is going under its own power or im towing ... And thoes who are trying to decide if they just want to go to buschurs shop or just track day....go to both...there's nothing like seeing sheps car roll off a trailor at the shop...and then seeing it run the next day...

Oh come on! I'm driving from Phoenix this year! It's only about 3,000 miles each way.

We can convoy. Safety in numbers. I think there's another guy going to come along from Phoenix as well, and we're working on a guy in Henderson, NV. Three DSMs with all their road tools and spare parts should have no trouble making this drive.

Good luck on the trip...i was worried about driving mine from toledo to norwalk.
Nah im joking...im glad that some people from that way are showing up...

The only thing about last year was the RAIN I slept in the staging lanes for like 2hours...but i dont think that was just because of the rain partied a bit too much the night before

i realised i could take my fathers 4runner if i found a trailer, anyone know how much they cost? i would probably sleep in the talon as i love that thing to death.

i rented one from uhaul for about 70 bucks a day... man ive got 2 rooms...if it comes down to that your free to use a space in the room...

thats nothing.......my DSM died on the way to the shootout, i got outside of portsmouth, r30 minutes from cincinnati.
show a rod through block and oil pan......but i have a stroked 6 bolt and im the 2g FWD will be there this year

I'll be rolling in there for the first time. Hopefully a wild and crazy time
