really not my cup of tea but i'll admit i did do that to my first eclipse back when i was 16.

however, looks like a quality job! good job, im sure later on down the line you'll want it black/grey again though, i know i did

Looks like a job well done. I'm surprised that you didn't paint the ash tray, cup holder and the airbag(s). Red seat inserts and red carpet might complete the look.

Spoold - I know what you mean, I painted mine blue when I had my 92 Eclipse when I was 18. I got bored with it in a few months.

The ashtray was a suggestion by a friend when i was completely done. Now that i think about it, it would look good. I like the carpet idea. Thank you all for the replies. I just wanted to do something with my car and i thought it would look good. For the time being i do really like it, mostly because i did it on my own.

I did that on my old 97 gs back when I was young and stupid...about a year later I was regretting the day I ever thought about painting my interior. All I wanted at that point was to have my interior unpainted and looking stock again. I would say stop now while you're ahead. My gst will never see painted interior parts:)

For the stuff you painted...it looks like you did a good job:thumb:

red + grey? LOL...my esi came with those same interior pieces painted red. Needless to say it was the FIRST thing to go.

Does anyone know how hard it is to get the actual dash out? if it isnt a pain in the butt i will seriously consider changing the grey.

heres a few for ya
the dash isnt hard to get out, its getting it back in thats hard... I'm going to gank the dash again this winter, and have it sprayed with black car paint while i get my new body kit painted.
Perhaps a bit too red for me...

Definetly looks complete though. I wont be doing the dash anytime soon, probably during summer at the soonest. Did you do that yourself?

How did you get around the air bag because if i could i would like to swap the black dash out of my rs to my gst ? Does the passenger airbag is that part of the dash or a cover for the air bag

Not bad. I did a few of my pieces a few years ago (silver on grey) and it's held up pretty good. :thumb:

I did the same thing to my ESI, painted anything the previous owner painted red, to silver. I like it but would never do it to my AWD. Kinda funny, but when I was sanding the red down I found out the red was covering up yellow. LOL.

Nice job. Now you can go back to grey.

Does that stuff work or eat through the plastic? I have used it on a car but it seems too strong.

when i strip down my dash of all the red paint, can i use aircraft stripper?
seems too badass for my dash... dont want it melting anything

i think he was kidding. aircraft stripper will RUIN your dash. DO NOT use it.

they have a more mild paint remove, it's a spray on. IMO just spray on, immediately wipe off. repeat until everything is off.

if you let that stuff sit, it will eat away the vinyl. TRUST ME.
