I'm using MMcd logger. Noticed that fuel trims stay same whether idling or cruising or wot.
I.e. FTRL=118.6%, FTRM=99.8%, FTRH=102.2%.
Also, o2 reading logged...while cruising on freeway, it reads "handful" of 0.00V as well as varying values like 0.55V. Is this normal behavior?

And what do ya'll think about MMCD vs Pocketlogger?

Thanks,

MMCd vs PocketLogger? I think they're both equally useful, although i like the 4 large number displays PocketLogger is capable of better for keeping an eye on things in realtime. While i like the graphing logs that MMCd puts all in one graph, rather than separate "stacked" graphs like PocketLogger.

Your fuel trims look fine to me. I never pay much attention to the low fuel trim, as a lot of O2s don't do well at idle anyhow, and end up basically giving false numbers. Med and Hi are the ones i'd be paying most attention to.

You may try unplugging your ecu for a minute, in order to reset it, and see what happens from there. If you're tuning your car, keep in mind that fuel trims are only relevant (basically) in OFF BOOST conditions. I think low FTs are under 150hz, mid is 150-250hz, and high is 250-350hz. Anything more than about 4psi will put you into open loop anyhow, making fuel trims irrelevant.

Oh, and your O2s should cycle between about .1 and .7 normally while cruising. Some o2's dont cover such a wide range as they "wear out" though.

My med and hi don't change at all during all different types of driving condition - FTRM=99.8%, FTRH=102.2%. I logged several days but to no avail. I did reset ECU several times and no change.

I also see knocks during boost - seems that the pattern of anything above 1200Hz manifests knock sums around 10-15 counts. I run 11-12psi boost these days. Good med torque but topend hurts some(still good power even though knocks and TMA drops to 11.

Watch your O2 trims, not you fuel trims. Watch them along with your HZ readings on the logger. Cruise, keeping your HZ around 300 if you can. Add or remove airflow to the ecu with the SAFC. See if it makes any diff in both O2 trims, and HZ readings at the logger. Make sure your O2 is cycling well while doing this. If you o2 trim says 123, then that's what the fuel trim target is.. as the fuel trim target raises in the ecu, the o2 trim will lower.. they usually meet about halfway, and then you start cycling on the O2 trims between about 95-105.

See, O2 trims are basically the primer to Fuel Trims. O2 trims + HZ = fuel trim table.

Understand?

Ok, I got you - Except I don't get where the O2-trim column is. I got the Excel open with all the parameters in English but I don't know where the O2-trim is. I see O2R and O2F column. I log all the parameters for MMCD. I'm still trying to decipher the column definitions. I understand most of it now but lost with FLG0 FLG1 FTO2 ACLE O2-F.

One thing to keep in mind is that my turbine housing has developed some cracks and some exhaust gas is leaking, not much though.

Thanks for insightful info. And Merry Holidays :thumb: :dsm: :rocks:
