Any TD05H 16g, 18g, 20g. I'm 99% sure TD06 and TD06H (higher flowing turbine wheel; more horsepower & lag) versions will as well. But i'm not entirely sure. Research this. This is a basic question. I'll be the first to say this to you so that you won't get a bad taste in your mouth of dsmtuners.com.

There are a number of aftermarket turbos that you can upgrade to as well, not just mitsu based platforms.

Before writing down a list off all the turbo's that will use the same oil and water lines as the stock turbo, let me ask you what your goals for your car are. There are many turbo's, including ball bearing turbo's that still use water lines. However, whenever you upgrade a turbo, I recommend switching over to a system that draws oil from the filter housing.

But, I would still like to know what kind of goals, and how much power you are looking to get out of your car. :D

well im lokking to hit somewhere from 280hp-320hp i dont want a track only car i just want a fun toy car but i love working on it and im looking for more hp im not worried about lag i want to get a turbo that i can use with my mostly stock engine with out doing damage ive got the fuel taken care of so now im looking for the right turbo

Crank hp, the stock 14b can do that easily, whp, a 16g would be fine.

once you get there you'll want more than that but just like qwklil4 said if that's all the power you're after then just stick with the tried and true 16g.

Alright, thank you for the info. If it were me, I would personally get a MHI Evo III 16G. It bolts up just like your stock turbo, as well as uses the same oil feed and return, and water/coolant lines.

You may be asking, "Why did he say an Evo 16G when the Small 16G can put out 300hp easy?"

Good question. The Evo III 16G can be upwards of a 400whp turbo, but you may only be wanting 300-ish hp. Thats fine, but someday you want that little bit extra power, and you know that the Evo III can provide it. The Evo III spools very well, usually 20 psi or so easily by 3k r's.

Hopefully you know you will need more fuel, to safely run any 16g turbo. I recommend getting some 650cc injectors along w/ a 190lph fuel pump, as this pump has the capabilities to push the 16g to its limits. If you even THINK that sometime you will want to go bigger in turbo's, then just go ahead and get a 255lph pump along w/ a AFPR. If you know that you will never want to upgrade again, get the 190lph pump and you don't have to spend the extra money on the AFPR, as the stock FPR can handle the volume of th 190 pump.

You also will be needing a tuning device. Again, if you don't plan on upgrading again, a Keydriver chip with injector compensation along w/ an AFC will be a great combination to tune with. If you want/need more advanced controls, DSMLink is a great alternative to look into.

Ya you can't really ad much more info to a response that explains everything...But, just for some background info on those evoIII's....Just be aware, that those turbo's are NOTORIOUS for Boost Creep!! This means that the boost will slowly rise even after the boost level you set it to originally....Damn you say, well it does suck, but this is only a major problem for these turbo's at lower RPM's....A way to cure it is to port the wastegate path area so that the flapper can open to a fuller extent and there is less turbulance between the air and exhaust...

Also regarding those E3B16g turbo's, make sure that you don't get sucked into the lies and purchase an EVOIII 'GT' turbo...This is a cheap knockoff made in china..Instead, a REAL MHI evoIII 16g should run you about the same or less ($530 I have seen)

Good Luck :rocks: :thumb:

my girlfriend just told me she bought me an Evo 3 16g turbo for my gs-t :D . this is great i guess except that my car is mostly stock. I was thinking i was going to need some mods like fuel to support this evo 3 when ever i get it installed. This is what i have in mind right now, let me konw if im missing anything.

1. Manual Boost controler
2. fuel pump (190)
3. SAFC-II
4. Install Kit for the 2g

and Im thinking the stock side mount wont handle the boost so i will need a FMIC also. Will i also need bigger injectors to run a decent amount of boost?

get a walbro fuel pump, 550cc injectors, safc, datalogger, mbc, and that should be fine although I don't know what mods you have...A stock exhaust will help keep boost creep down, but it's really restrictive so a 2.5"-3" full turbo-back exhaust setup is a big plus...
