I really love this site and how people help each other. This site is the shit. Just to add...

Okay now whats going on is....When i use to go WOT, It would be nice and put me in my seat. Even tho Im stock....I could have had a boost leak, cause i just never been in a perfect one...So no telling if I still had one then..Also, I my Boost gauge said around 14psi...

Tonight My Tester will be made.

Well, Now when I go WOT. In First and Second It says im pushing like 19 psi. Which is impossible, and I feel like im goin nowhere, I mean Shit Im still As fast as like Vtech, the turbo is still pushing me. But Its still just not going like it use to. Its like a V6 now instead of a V8 (thats what my friend said)

Im hopen it just my first leak, And It will all be good...But is it possible to be something else?

No its not like im pulling on 19 psi, its just my gauge saying that...My gauge just flips up there then abck down to 14. I dont know its weird as hell. And say im doing like 55 in 4th, and floor it, I mean it only go's to 14. Its when I start going in first and go WOT.

So what are you saying, tho....Its not a boost leak?

Your profile does not mention any gages. Which gage are you reading the boost on. If you are still using the stock gage I would suggest getting a true pressure gage.

The stock gage uses readings from the airflow to guess what the intake pressure is. If you have anything done to your car this will be incorrect.

You could have a boost leak, boost creep, or one of a hundred other problems. There simply isn't enough information to diagnose it at this point. However, I have a few suggestions.

Make sure you take off any boost controllers you have in place. Run the car stock with stock fuel.
Get a real boost gage...you can use the difference between this and the stock one to help you diagnose problems.
Leak test the intake.

Until you do these things we can't do much for you.

So your boost is spiking at 19 and falling to 14. You need to get a better boost controller or take the one you probably have on your car off.

see thats the thing. I dont have a boost controller.

I have an aftermarket SPW Gauge, But I dont think its as accurate as it should be. I dont see how Im running 14 psi. When Im just idlling, you know how your boost gauge is all the way down, Well mine is not ALL the way down, Its like 4 above the bottom line
Is it suppost to be all the way down, Or Maybe I actually am running 10 psi, cause that is messed up.

It just started yesterday. I just dont feel like its boosting how it use to now. I really think its a leak, Iv never done a test on it. And I Still get the Wapshheee sound, I can hear the turbo build up louder now, well it has been for a few weeks.

I just hope its not something else. I need a new boost gauge. Hopefully Ill get one soon.

no, its not supposed to be all the way down. its supposed to read how much vacuum is in the intake manifold. If its reading aroun 22-17psi vac. then its probably fine. However it probably is bad since it reads 14 psi and you should be running stock boost. I would replace it before you do anything else. also you might want to check that your wastegate acutator is good.

I really just dont have the money right now. Im goin to do my first Boost Leak test this weekend, hopefully before, But i Have to work everyday. Hopefully Ill find this leak and fix it, and be back to normal...

Does it sound like a possible boost leak

I mean, Im goin from 14 psi, shootin up to 19 on my gauge, then back down.....I mean, i still got boost So i dont think the turbo is shot. I dont know.

19 psi on stock fuel = dangerously lean= knock= no timing advance= v6 power

Agree %100. Your over boosting causing knock or have boost leaks. The ECU will automatically retard timing which decreases horsepower.

Check for boost leaks.
Purchase an AUTOMETER Boost Gauge!! I swear by autometer products
Check wastegate. Should open at 11-12 psi.
Check MBC.

One of these is most likely your problem.

Even if you fix the problem you may still notice your car is running slow. This is because the ECU is still expecting knock. It wont reset timing until its confident your not going to knock. If you have a way to reset the ECU this will take you back to default timing so you don't have to wait for the computer to "re-learn."

Do you have a gauge that only reads boost and not vacuum? Turn the ignition on without starting, the gauge should read zero. If it reads 4psi, it's off by 4psi. T25 is also known to spike about 3psi so the fact that you're spiking 5psi is an indication that there are other issues to be dealt with even if you verify that the gauge is off so I would proceed with the leak test anyway. I would also remove the bcs and connect the compressor nipple directly to the actuator as the factory bcs, being a bleeder valve, is also known to cause inconsistent boost levels especially boost spikes. Good luck.

Since you're running aftermarket intercooler pipes there's a good chance you do infact have a boost leak.

I'll reiterate what oldman said.
If your gauge does not "zero" out when the car is off the gauge is bad.

Listen to oldman. He helped me with my fuel cut issues. Every problem i have expericanced he has had a solution.

That's 'cause he asks me first...
I'm the brains behind his operation.... ROFL

HAHA!! Damn that was harsh! His ripping on your rep oldman. You going to take that?
That's OK. My first encounter with him was 8 months ago when he first joined asking what "DSM" and "WOT" mean. :tease:

Thanks alot, now I have to go through all my posts and see if I really did ask that.... ROFL

dang, Well I have one of the baddest boost leak testers now LOL. My step dad is a plumber and hooked me up.

You know, After the 2 months iv been driving my DSM...

I finnaly ####in realized that under the 0 is all Vacume. LOL!. Jesus, I feel stupid as hell...What is a good vacume read?

some dude just posted in another thread. How his Boost Gauge spiked to 17, when he runs 14psi...But he said it was cause of the weather, well his friend told him that, Is he right?

There are many reasons why spikes happen and weather isn't one of them. If he's running T25 then it's probably normal.
