Ok Im not sure what pulley it is, but there are 3 that are connected to the alternator belt. The alternator, then one on top and one down low that drives two belts.

The pulley down low on the bottom that drives the 2 belts, alt and ac, what is that one?

I went to start my car today and heard a loud noise so I turned it off, went to look and saw the belt off and that pulley a little sideways. Does not look at all.

Any help would be great.

Harmonic balancer. The bolts either came loose or the balancer failed.

I am assuming that you are describing the big pully at the very bottom of the engine. In this case it is the harmonic balancer and if you are lucky it just seperated. The fix is to just replace it with another.

Do not pull the large bolt in the center just the outer ring of smaller bolts  . Don't know how many people have fought the crank bolt to just replace the balancer :( .

The low one is connected to the crankshaft and known as the harmonic dampner or crank pulley. It is two pieces, the hub and outer pulleys, joined together by a rubber bond to absorb some of the vibrations. They are known to break down and slip or separate.

Hear is what happened this pict was used by defiant in a post he used the other day.

Ok and here I was all day at work thinking my crank snapped or something.

I guess this is better then that, thankyou again everyone for the quick replies, I can not check what happened till tommorrow at least, heavy downpour rain all night now.

Is my best bet one off eBay? Here

Or somewhere else? Thanks again.
