I just removed my p/s system and I just looked at the water pump and seen the P/S pulley and W/P pulley bolted up.

What I wanted to know is, can I remove the P/S pulley and just run the wp pulley? or must I leave both pullies?

You don't need both. That said removing your powersteering belt could cause the water pump to wear prematurely.

You do have the alternator hooked up still right? Several companies out there make a bracket so you can put it where the ac is stock.

Did you remember to loop the lines on your rack back around so you don't tear it up?

yes i did

So I cant just bolt the w/p pulley to the water pump itself without the P/S pulley?

Has anyone ever removed the P/S system with the pulley removed as well?

or

Can it be done and just run the WP pulley?

The PS pulley is driven by the smaller pulley at the water pump. You can remove it without losing function of the water pulley because the Water pump/alternator are being driven by the crank pulley.

Although I am not sure why you would want to remove the PS unless in a full out drag car. The steering in these things needs the power assist.
