wow congrats, your laser gives me inspiration

Well done! I used to live in Bradenton, and used to come around De Soto (as the locals would call it) Speedway/Dragstrip once in awhile. I would have loved to see a DSM make a ten second pass on a stock turbo. :rocks:

He'll just respond with "Don't ask.. it's light." ROFL

He says that because he really doesnt know what it weighs.
It hasnt been to the scales in quite some time.
Any answer about the weight would just be a guess at this point.

Toms right. I dont really know what it weighs. I have an educated guess, but to be honest, I care a LOT less than everyone else does. I wanted to run a number and did everything I could afford to do to get it done. It's light, but keep in mind, it is still all steel body, including the hood and hatch. It has pep boys wheels and stock heavy brakes. It could be quite a bit lighter.

I totally believe it

its all about power to weight ratio

There are all motor civics running 10's with way less power than he has because they are light

his car looks light, plexi all around, no interior, looks light. I wonder what a evo16g would do on that car ? It doesnt weigh any more, LOL, spools about the same, and can make an extra 80whp or so...that would put him deep in the 10s

GO JOE! I am so proud of you man! I knew that car was destined for great things the first time I saw her. You're going to make me get off my butt and put my FWD back together :)

How about you put a real turbo on that thing and stop playing with the little snoopy blowdryer.

Hey man all i have to say is WOW! :D .Thats really good to hear. Just shows u dont need a big turbo to be fast.Very awesome.gives me something to keep my head up about! Keep up the good work :thumb:

What would that weight less car run with a bigger turbo?? LOL
Isnt that the stock motor?

I remember talking to you at the shootout 05' Joe... (of course you don't remember me because you probably talked to 317 other people)
You were sporting a new intercooler setup, though that time you ran a sweet low 11 slip wich OF COURSE is still awesome. It's great to see FWD guys maxing out potential.

I also want to get good times on my 14b, but im looking for something like a very very low 13 or high 12, everytime I say this people look at me like its not possible, but I'll get there.

Thanks for keeping us up to date on your laser.
