First time at the track, and I couldn't buy a good launch at all.. Heres the slip time.

R/T----.604
60'---- 2.579
330--- 6.667
1/8----9.924
MPH---73.83
1000--12.710
1/4----15.017
MPH---97.35

This was the best I could click off the 3 runs I made today. I knew my car was slow, but I didn't think it was this bad. I was hoping for mid 14's but I guess I'll have to get the car tuned now. BTW, the car is untuned with those runs.

S16g @ 19lbs
Denso 550cc
Walbro 190
Keydiver Chipped for 550's
SAFC set at -4%
ACT2100/Fidanza flywheel
FMIC, Exhaust, BOV, all the little stuff that has to be done was done except for the tune.

Jesus, were you spinning the tires the entire time? A 2.57 60' time is ridiculous.

Practice your launches, and fool around with your s-afc.

Your car should be capable of putting that time down stock. You need to work on your driving skills. I think of you simply pulled off the line you could do better then that..

you could've went faster in my talon. LOL! j/k bro. *i just remembered i'm back to FWD :D *

Yeah, the car definitly needed a good tune. Its not running good at all. My launches were horrible too. That was the best launch out of the 3 which was 2.8, 2.7 and this 2.5. I pretty much either bogged off the line or I spun tire. Anyhow, it felt like I was crawling off the line.

I would have asked how to get better lauches, not posted that time... :shhh:

invest in a datalogger, i pulled a 14.6 an a T-25 with a logger, SAFC, 255 fp, and a boost controller (~18psi), also lowerd tire pressure to 19-20 psi 2.3 60'

A good tuning, a little practice and you'll be set. :thumb:

I was actually shifting really good. I shifted at 7400 every gear though... Don't really know wheres the optimum point to shift. I was surprised how well the car shifted too considering when I bought the car, the tranny had a grinding 3rd gear that didn't want to go in, but after some penzoil synchromesh, the tranny was sliding in to every gear like butter.

Welcome to the world of FWD sucks when you start to make power. Anyway, 97 mph is a pretty shitty trap for 19lbs on a 16g. Looks like you need some tuning big time. I didnt look to see what plugs your runnning or wires, but a one step set of colder plugs might be helpful. Prepare for a long and fustrating prcoess.

Edit: -4% on 550s?? Holy ####. Get a pocketlogger. Thats wwwwwayyyy too rich. IS that your low of high settings?

He has a keydiver chip programed for 550's already. So the -4 on SAFC is on top of the keydiver chip settings.

He leaned it out a bit more last nite and he said it felt much better.

I have been out the game for a little bit, but what is a keydriver chip?
