So I took my car to the dyno today for the first time ever. First pull was way off the chart rich. So naturally I started pulling out some fuel...

That brings me to why I'm posting here. I have a dsmchip/keydiver stage3 chip in my 99GST setup for my FIC 650's and to display knock using the factory boost guage. From the first time I installed the chip I had never seen the boost gauge move indicating any knock. Of course after playing with safc and pulling some fuel out I had gotten it to move indicating around 5-7 counts of knock, so I richened it back up around the point it started happening and that was that. I guess it works...

Fast forward to today on the dyno. Like I said, my first run was off the chart rich (the knock guage wasn't moving at this point). Played with the safc a bit and pulled out some fuel. Was still reading rich on the dyno, but not off the chart anymore (until around 6k). Anyways, I stopped playing around because the factory boost gauge (now knock guage) kept displaying that my car was knocking although the results from the dyno still show me running pretty rich.

Should I be worried about this? Which would you guys trust? I scanned the dyno sheet and it's in my gallery if anyone is interested. Yes, I know I do not have any of my mods listed in my profile. I do not feel that is vital to answer this question, but if anyone wants to know I can post them.

Thanks!

Try turning the boost down and then leaning it out more since you are still quite rich. 11.5:1 is pretty safe for the street and you're under 10:1. If you can get no knock with a good A/F then try turning the boost up until you start knocking.

cars can knock from being to rich too

I'm aware of that. Thanks though. :)

The reason that I didn't think that it's rich knock is because the gauge wasn't displaying that there was any knock at all when the car was off the chart rich. Only when I started to lean it out (but it was still pretty damn rich) did it start to display a few counts of knock.
