I broke the cam gear sensor on my 95 gst. But i have a Cam Angle Sensor for a 91 because i was going to do the 6 bolt swap but now ive decided not to for money issues. But i was wondering if i could still use the cas and wire it to the crank sensor plug and the cam sensor plug like they say to do on magnusmotorsports for the 1g in a 2g swap?

So your saying that the end of the spark plug wires that plugs into the coil pack im going to switch around (1 and 4 with 2 and 3)?

What exactly would be the advantage of this?

Uh.... making the car..... run? WTF
True, your gasoline consumption may go up some.

Your 95 has a reversed cam angle signal when compared to a 1G, thus you must switch the firing order.

I have a 95 gsx that was salvaged and cannot find the wiring harness for the cam angle sensor. I cannot see a harness anywhere. It either got removed for some reason or it is hidden. If anyone can look where their cas wire are coming from or what it is connected to let me know. Thanks...

Just dropped a new engine in the 95 the plug should be near the intake. the sensor wire leaves the timing cover near the crank sensor wire. the plug is either gray or black (cant remember. If your harness is strung up right it should fall in place.

I look in my engine bay everywhere and didn't see a harness going to my cam angle sensor lead. However, I did see the two wires coming out of the lower portion of my timing belt cover.

Are 95's wired differently than 97+? Also, I ready in one of my manuals that not having the cas hooked up wouldn't make a difference because it "guesses" timing from the previous settings, does this effect driving? Thanks........

Ok, I finally found out the answer to this one. Both my crank and cam angle sensors are hooked up. It turns out I have a 97 head on my 95. That is why it looks like I don't have my cam angle sensor hooked up. Also, just a heads up for anyone that doesn't know, the 95's have the same p/n for the cam and crank angle sensors.
