Just finished replacing my flywheels bolts last week. I was getting a crazy sound when decelerating, thought it was the t.o. bearing....it was the bolts. Pretty much my own fault. Does anyone have the 1990-98 Chilton's "total care care" manual? That's what I use. Back when I was doing the 6bolt swap, I was looking up the torques's for the 6bolt motor. For 7bolt it said @ 98 in.lbs. But for the 6bolt, it said @ 22in-lbs. I thought that didn't sound right, but I figured the book had to be right. The book was wrong...it just took me 1.5yrs to find out. So I checked a friend early Hayne's manual and it said @95in-lbs. So now they're loc-tited and torqued and all is well. That's all that's happened in the past couple of months.

well my daily driver blew up today....as an update last month it was tie rods.

today just west of Moulton AL (where is that? - my point exactly) my tranny vented itself. there's a nice small crack at the bottom of the case. It's gonna be a while to fix this......

I have 2 DSM's as daily rides (I always have a backup). '93 Eclipse GS 2.0 n/t. It has a turbo intake cam, cheapie intake tube, pacesetter header, test pipe. It grinds going into 1st gear if I don't put it in another gear first (no big deal). I also have a '90 GS-T. The only thing I've done to that one is cut the air can. :thumb:

replaced trans a week after it happened (bought a whole parts car to get a gsx trans....)
used parts car to fix broken sunroof and swapped to early vented rear rotors.

the new problem---->have developed a nice clunk in front end. Have to jack it up to be sure but i think it is trailing lower front control arm/ball joint on drivers side.....leading ones are new, tie rods are new, upper ball joints are old so i'll check them jic. Yet another repair and alignment grrrrrrrr!

on the plus side i am averaging about 27mpg on the highway still putting about 500miles a week on it......

Daily driver right here. to and from work every day and wherever else I might need to go

620+ WHP GT35R 2.3 stroker on 28psi. and a slew of other shite. Its all how you maintain it and all how you Drive it. Best pass is a 10.66 @136 spinning through 1st. Soon she will be a 9 sec daily driver.
