Ok well, I just remember out of the blue today that I guy I bought the car off of said he did a brake swap on the front to get rid of the crappers they come with...

All he said is that they came off a Diamonte... and well I figured today at some point down the road I will have to replace the pads, but I don't really know what I need.

I haven't had the chance to check myself on the brakes to make sure that they have been upgraded, but they lock up real easy if I want them to so I think they have been upgraded none the less...

My question is how do I tell which year / so forth pads I need to replace with (I am guessing the bads different...)?

Thanks...

92-94 AWD Pads/Rotors. And don't forget brake fluid. The Diamante calipers are the SAME as Stealth/3000GT N/T.

Also, make sure you get calipers with the screw-in type fittings. The later Diamantes used banjos like 2G's have.

Hi everyone. I was at the junk yard yesterday looking for calipers and rotors for the brake upgrading process. I have a 90 Turbo Laser FWD. I didn't find anything except vehicles (lasers, eclipses, talons) with single piston calipers. I did find a 91 Diamante with duel piston calipers. My question is will these be a direct bolt on for my 90 laser and if they are what else do I need to complete the installation? Thanks

Yes, those are a direct bolt on for your car. I've got them on my 99GST and I just had to get custom brakelines for 1g brakes on a 2g. I love them and you will too!

BTW you'll need 1g GSX rotors to make those fit.

You need more than just 1g GSX rotors, you need the larger rotors from a 93+ GSX or from one of the other cars using the dual piston calipers.

Where can I get the list of cars that use those dual piston Calipers? If I go to Pep Boys... will all the models cost the same? Or is there any particular model that the calipers are cheaper?

Thanks everyone. When I looked at the calipers they looked to be in very good condition. The rotors were their too. So if I understand this correctly, I can also use the rotors, but I need to get fresh pads and brake lines. Will I need anything else from the brake assembly? Like maybe the bolts, ect? Thanks again, everyone has been a big help. Now all I need to do is find an affordable EPROM ECU. Thanks :laser:

well i was going though the cars at a local junkyard and stumbled on a diamante. i seen that it had the dual pistion calipers on it. are they the same as the gsx and 300gt? thought i would ask before i bought them. thanks
