With fully charged battery, I can start the car up and drive around for a while. However, once I park it for a bit, when I try to start it up again the battery will have drained a bit and when I turn the key the volts just drop and I have to be jumped. Battery is good, alternator is good, I'm a bit lost. Just started doing it out of the blue, no changes made where a screw-up was possible. Maybe a bad ground somewhere (where?), bad starter? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

One other problem, my left rear speaker is not working. The yellow wire w/ green stripe is getting no power to it. I haven't yet been able to find where the power is lost, any suggestions of connectors to check, etc?

I hate wiring, I like the easy "bolt this part here" stuff :D

you have a short some where i think, just start looking at your electric stuff, i had this prob with my radio once. You can try to pull your fuses to see if the power loss is still happening when you come back, or use a multimeter to check for voltage where there is not suposed to be.

You definatley have a short or a disfunctional switch that is stuck on. The only way to check how bad it is, is to hook up a voltmeter and put it on the amps setting and hook it up in series to the positive terminal of the battery and see how many amps you are drawing. Otherwise, removing fuses is also a good way to track it down. I had the same problem with my power door lock switch stuck on.

First make sure your battery really is good by having it tested under load at an auto store free. Too many "battery is good" posts are on here where it really is a weak battery. Then make sure you're getting over 14V on your battery when car is running (good alt). If these pass, then this will help you find a short/drain: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179481.

Battery is good, as is alternator. Alternator has been tested and battery was replaced, did same thing with brand new one. Thanks for all the help guys, I'm going to go and see if I can't solve this problem now.

Re-charged battery, checked over stuff again, found nothing. Tried starting up, turn key, voltage drops then like a whirring noise. Starter?
