This has been asked a million times and everyone says goto their profile, figured I'd post it here in the newbie thread since that's what I am

I'm looking for a complete build for a engine excluding nitrous/turbo setups. Would prefer to stay as stock as possible as far as machining goes.

Would love to find all the parts off the same website

Got a car on trade, guy said he had it built, doesn't really look built so I'm looking to change that, gonna pickup a 2nd block and have it refreshed but don't want to go super crazy or expensive, just want to build a fun summer car

You're looking to build a 4G63 engine that will handle 400+ WHP, but will stay as stock as possible displacement-wise and be relatively inexpensive? And you're not interested in turbo set-ups (assuming that means you don't want to hear about which turbos will push whatever).

Getting to 400+ WHP means a lot of supporting mods, most of which are outside of the engine. The stock internals can handle about 350-400 hp, provided they are healthy. Sure, you can throw performance parts in it to beef it up, which is advisable if you plan on hammering the engine every now and then... but your wallet will be used far more on the stuff on the outside of the long block.

But if all you want to know is Manley rods or Kiggly springs, you'll find a lot of different answers on here. Everyone has their preference. And at 400hp as a fun daily, any of the answers will work.

You can take a look at my vehicle profile and list. I’m probably making close to 500 if not more (maybe?) at 40 psi. Will be upgrading the pump as I think the car will benefit from a 450 and I have a rebuilt HX40 to throw on as well

Less boost will net you less hp obviously if you don’t want to shoot so high but my build is pretty basic and I haven’t spent a fortune
