70% isopropyl is safe for panels and will help shrink that for removal. Another is directly spraying a freeze spray through the small nozzle onto the adhesive. Hot soapy water also works well with soaking it
 
I'm in the same boat. I haven't spent much time on it but the little time I used a heat gun. Looks like it will work decent and get most of it off but you will need to be patient. I also tried WD40 in a small area. Didn't work too well. Again, this was testing only so I didn't have too good of results. Looking at other things such as goo gone or something in the near future.
