Love your rolling jackstands. Great idea.
Thank you. Serves the purpose. Took a while trying to overengineer something and when I took a beat and dumbed it down came up with those. Just have to go slowly, no slab is perfect. Every now and then depending on where I’m rolling all of a sudden three are under her with solid contact and one gets left behind, LOL. Need to shim accordingly.

Tore down the donor motor to replace the one I tore up Tuesday. Looks good inside, no ring ridge at all, no spun bearings and crank looks great. I need to hone it and do a few mods then take it to the machine shop for a fresh deck and hot tank and also have them install my new 22mm wristpin bushings in my Manley I-Beams that were a little sloppy when I got them used. Also ordered up MORE Team Wilson Racing t-shirts for my grandsons birthday and for the boys. We proudly wear them! I get them from InkPixi. They even called me after the order (on a SATURDAY) to make sure I didn't want a number on the shirt, which I didn't, so that was super good customer service!
The last picture is of the 2 SMALL oil pan bolts so it shows everyone (including me) which holes they go in.

What the hell did you do on Tuesday?

Got the car up on jackstands, starting removing parts for the HTA68v3 + new oil pan install.

Likely going to take this opportunity to also get rid of my FIC 750s that are 12 years old now. I have a feeling they're responsible for my intermittent idle miss and my weird fueling change between 2.5k-3k rpm. New ones will probably be FIC 1200 high-z

Got the replacement block scheduled into my old time machine shop for a bore, deck and Manley I-beam wrist pin bushings replaced with 22mm's for HD pins on new pistons.
Machine shop said.......How does THURSDAY work?.
That was a very uplifting moment....I said "Sure, see you then" (no matter weather, hurricane, tornado...I will get it there by God).
Thank you DSM gods!

Started removing the cheapo manifold, after a couple rounds of PB I broke all nuts loose. I'm beginning to wonder how I will get the nuts off the studs though, it seems like the manifold has reshaped over the studs and I won't be able to remove the nuts without cutting..
Same goes for the turbo side..

Just a thought- You’ll have to loosen them all a little at a time, or at least the ones that are too close to the runners- so you can scoot the manifold back away from the head evenly and the nuts will come off as you go.

Digging an old box in storage and found new Drop Engineering motor mount inserts and Royal purple oil filters. I didn't even remember I had those.

Why do you have all these awesome things just stashed away? :p best unexpected part I had stored away was a spare 2g knock sensor

Took a cruise after work yesterday... Hit boost after rounding a corner... and Boom!... sputter sputter, cough cough.. dieeeeeee of failure........ Same intercooler pipe that blew out of the coupler as last time.... Luckily my wife was with me because I asked her if she wanted to take a quick drive. I was able to push the car down hill through the intersection, while she steered into the gas station parking lot. Then performed some minor surgery. Wife was freaking out, but I knew what the issue was right when it happened. 5 minutes later and I was hobbling it back to the house. So bumper has to come back off on that side today.

On a separate note... Noticed my Oil pressure gauge is buried at over 100 on cold start and warmed up, where it had been previously always been fine.. only bounces when ive been sitting at the light for a few min. Looked at the sending unit and im missing one of the screws on one of the post. Anyone know if i can just buy these little black screws separately or what they are called? Its an old Ac Autotechnic gauge and they dont seem to sell parts anymore. Not sure if these aftermarket senders are universal or not but it looks similar to this glowshift one. Or if i have to buy a new one, any brand thats not garbage?

I was getting ready to jack my car up to do some work and noticed for the first time in four years that I have two different sets of side skirts on the car. How did I miss this? I even went through the trouble of getting a full set of 2gb side skirts and door panels to swap in.

Most likely not universal. The senders have an ohm range which in return tells the gauge what’s happening. If you know the ohm scale of the existing and replace with one of the same scale most likely it would work. I would also just figure out the thread pitch on the studs and nuts and get something at the hardware store.

I have a hole in the wall store local to me that stocks a pile of metric stuff. Has been my go to for years and so thankful to have them close to me.

From an electrical point of view that screw/nut combination is called a "binding post", so if you're missing the black part, that's a "binding post nut". Google image search will maybe help. You're gonna want to know the diameter of the threaded post itself.

From an electrical perspective, your goal is to force the wire (or crimp connector) down against the flat metal surface of the binding post, so any nut the right size will do functionally. If you're after aesthetics, we can 3D print some for you in ASA plastic. (A type of styrene that does not degrade in sunlight, and can stand up to SOME heat.
