Installed Cruise, Fog Lights, and Electric Mirror switches that I ordered from Gallant665. Also installed a back-up camera to go with my soon to install head unit.

Took my block back to the machine shop (FFS) to get a deep scratch on the deck taken out, installed my Cobra Rotors, reinstalled my freshly DIY rebuilt driveshaft, did some interior wire tucking, and dusted the cobwebbies out from under the car.

So finally found the major boost leak that I couldnt find... Forgot to tighten the clamp by the fog lamp on the passenger side and the pipe had slid out with a nice little gap... Continued with the test before i put the bumper on just to be safe... not only is the biss screw leaking, but the throttle body turned into a bubble factory... So strut tower bar back off... battery back out... intercooler piping back off.

Get the turbo car, they said..... itll be more fun, they said.... :)

I have seen this on alot of sites with mustangs, hondas, volkswagen, ect... Although I've never seen one with DSM's and i thought maybe i would try it out and see if it sticks... I'll start off with what i did to mine. I cleaned up the motor bay and did a little wire tucking.
Finally found time to pull this dent out of my driver quarter panel. I don’t have money to go to a body shop, so I guess I’ll be doing filler and paint from home! I’m excited!

Installed my F*F valve cover after getting it anodized black and built the new hoses to the catch can yesterday.

Dam Corey, you sure have a way of making my car look like a total POS.
That looks fantastic, and an amazing engine bay! :thumb:

Bumper is back on. A simple gasket swap stopped the champagne coming from my throttle body, but air is REALLY screaming out of the Biss now that all the other leaks have been plugged. Ordered a new screw, oring and cap from ExtremePsi since this one is at least 12+ years old, if not close to being the original. Going to try to install and adjust the idle with ECMlink myself when it comes in.

As it was I thought I paid way too much for the car. 5500 And as I keep going it seems more and more I got duked. Tho I know these are gems and will carry a high price tag soon. I don’t mind the work but finding stuff like this makes me sick.

Thats jb weld. The damn car has a jmf intake manifold with the darn TB jb welded to it as well. Not to mention a beautiful hand crafted key stone cardboard gasket.

Did I mention it almost caught fire ?

Look at those cool jmf letters colered blue. Tells you everything you need to know about the turd. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s done in crayons.

Never buy a DSM from a crackhead.
sorry Mods. I’m fuming.

Damn, that tough bro. At least its out of the wrong hands and into the right ones. Hope you can get it sorted out so that you can feel the purchase was worth it..

I feel your pain, I too fixed the biss on mine last week and am still chasing a plethora of other boost leaks, think I'm down to 1 or 2 unknown ones. Were your throttle shaft seals leaking I had that issue a few years ago? Hope you get it lined out

It was the one between the elbow/throttle body. The throttle body/manifold seemed to be holding just fine. Maybe I did something when I put the new elbow on because I dont think that it was leaking before, but i had a backup gasket sitting around and its holding fine.

This is the second or third time that the biss has worked it way out and my idle has been sky high.. I figure the oring is worn out.

Noticed play in the front wheels today and I knew the bearings have never been replaced plus being subjected to my 2" spacers, so I pulled apart both fronts and cleaned them up. Now to wait until the 15th to get everything from rockauto 😕 engine will probably still be at the machine shop so w/e I guess. Probably should put new studs in while it's apart...

Not laughing, but damn. Poor cars never stood a chance. Let's save what's left!

Did you buy this car sight unseen or something? I know everything looks better when you want it. Then when it’s yours and the first time you wash it you find 10 dents and 20 scratches that you didn’t remember seeing.

For the record too it’s crans not crayons LOL. Just kidding I know I’m wrong but when I hear crayon I instantly say it’s cran not crayon LOL

You said dudes a crackhead but from the pictures dudes definitely kinda a beast though. I mean come on Keith Stone gasket paper AND jb weld. He’s kinda ahead of his time don’t you think?

Hopefully I at least made you smile reading this and not more fuming. Good luck with the rebuild and removal of the hack jobs from the PO.

Haha your definitely right about the sweet then sour deal. I saw the car and was buying it no matter what tho. I did just find out it has a 6 bolt so my nights going a bit better. Whats crazy is the seller was playing hard ball and wanted 6 FIRM. Out of desperation and persistency I got it for 5500 as I hadn’t seen one posted in more than 3 year around my area that wasn’t a large amount. I got all the time in the world now to get her cleaned up and respectable. I’ve been around these cars since 2007 and just have a huge soft spot for them. Appreciate the positive vibes my dude. :)

Man you got robbed 😭 I believe you can bring this thing back from the dead though! You’ve got this!

Past couple drives the car has pulled timing in the low and mid rpm range and suspected a knock sensor after drilling my brain over all the things it could be. Had this sensor stashed with my extra parts shelf and ended up being the right fix. Just 10 minutes, a jack, and a big adjustable and she's back to normal.

This is the one I removed I think it was a knock off part.

Spent about 2 hours cleaning and detailing my transmission. I am awful at the concept if taking BEFORE pictures for a before and after comparison, so just imagine this caked in dirt and grime and the inside of the bell housing fully coated with a thick black layer of clutch dust. Amazing what a dremel, tiny brushes and simple green can do.
