Just a couple weeks ago I reached an agreement with a guy and I thought the car was going away.

I got into the cars initially because it was fun to outrun the v8 guys with a 4 banger. The platform really grew on me and it just snowballed from there. Built several cars over the years and moved on for various from each. I guess I'm a project guy, as in the fun of the car is the project aspect, once they are complete they lose the luster. So anyway almost 10 years ago, I picked up this chassis and moved the drivetrain from my Talon to this chassis because it was caged. I ended up replacing all of the carbon and building a race car instead of the high power street car that I had originally intended. The car has been at 95% for 4 years and I just didn't care to do anything with it.
I decided I was going to clear space and sell the chassis turn the Spyder into the high hp street car. A guy came along with an offer and it went from there. Went back and fourth over some details and then got ghosted. In the meantime, Paul @ Volk Metalcraft finished up the subframe I ordered last year...so I have taken that as my sign to push forward. Here we go again!

Did he end up pulling the motor out of it? It was a parts car that we got to use then lost the car the parts were for in a fire.

Yes he did and asked me to take a look at it. It has a cut crank, .010 mains .030 rods and I had a hard time even finding rod bearings, but King does make some alumiglides, if I remember right. Bores weren't bad tho. We still have that motor and the car is sitting beside the shop.

I wouldn't ever part the car out like that. For me it would be full chassis type thing.

That blue on the subframe stuff is gorgeous. I'd eventually like to get all the volk stuff he makes for the Talon. It needs it, but one step at a time.

Completely understand. Figured I would ask though at least, would cut out the huge wait time from Sergio. Finish up the car now haha.

I posted the chassis(basically rolling chassis for 7500. I was keeping the drivetrain, electronics and the drag radials.
