2020
First wash and how it looked back in May 2020.
These were the only 3 pictures in the listing, I never knew what an eclipse was.

I never even realized what Mitsubishi had to offer other than the Evo. I had a couple choices as well over A Volkswagen Jetta or a Mitsubishi Eclipse 1st Gen. But the first gen was already taken and the Jetta Had so much wiring problems. I went ahead and bit the bullet and got the car for $400. It's running and driving car but we know it had an engine light on

As you can see it's at 420a so I didn't really know the difference either 420a all-wheel-drive or 420a, 4g63t or stuff like that. The car originally listed was 300,000 miles but I'm still finding out if that is really the real mileage. The car also came from a couple moving to another location so this car was actually in the family so we have a little bit of history there.

this is a Mitsubishi 1997 Eclipse RS has manual windows manual mirrors manual locks no sunroof and that's it. There weren't any mods prior to getting a car so it was all stock.

After we took it home we got it home from a U-Haul trailer I saw a Acura NSX along the way and it was pretty cool. I came home on one piece and I knew I had to wash it the first thing I got it so we went ahead and pull up on the driveway and we washed it. Although there is some paint imperfections but the car came out pretty nice.

This image shows me cleaning the blower motor in the interior of the eclipse as you can see rats made a home or nest out of it so a lot of it was clogged up making a huge rattling sound so had to get that cleaned up clean all the dirt and stuff

IMG_1330.JPG

There's a couple more photos that I did the next following day I went ahead and got some radiator fast flush a new thermostat some brake cleaner some brake pads I believe some NGK spark plugs Some new coolant pre diluted

New gas cap was needed because the way that the old one looked wasn't really acceptable so I got in one of those I got to iac valve as well so the first thing that I did was actually the ground maintenance to make sure it was running properly so clean up all those areas clean up all the carbon deposits on them intake sensors

IMG_1347.JPG
IMG_1345.JPG

This is probably the same day or somewhere around there but I went ahead and installed my dad's old 1995 Toyota Camry wheels on there I just decided they just sitting in the garage might as well use them so I got them on a car I'll be there just random amp ones but I'm not sure to the whole specs on it.

IMG_2024.JPG

So around June 2nd 2020 is where we dropped off the car to do some timing belt maintenance just wanted to see how long that would take.We also went ahead and got a new valve cover gasket set as well as the engine timing belt by Gates that's all really requested good timing. I didn't really want to go racing cuz I didn't want to see it at the time but also we got some more grommets for the valve cover stuff but yeah we just went ahead and gave him all the parts so they can use it

This was also the first time I see my car in the air and seeing all the underneath of it so I'm getting a chance to see underneath your car was pretty neat absolutely no rust just a lot of dirt and the breeze but no rust
IMG_1430.JPG
IMG_1448.JPG
IMG_1455.JPG

There's some more shots of what I've done on June 6th so this is where I did the headliner for the first time I took off some of the phone but I didn't do all of it so I had to redo it later on but, when the printer is Floral Pattern just I want something different instead of a black or gray something more of a flavor so went ahead and did that and the door handle as well this is where I actually started kind of getting parts for the eclipse.

Where the starting addiction of going to do Pick-n-Pull and seeing if they have parts for my car haha

IMG_1493.JPG
IMG_2713.JPG
IMG_2944.JPG
IMG_2934.JPG

So this is where I started to just wait for the car to be done I think I went in for an in June and then I did some more updating from June to July to August September but it wouldn't still still want to be done so I think we got it around like either July 2021 so we'll go ahead and wait till then but yeah we had to wait a long time because I'm just trying to figure out why or what's going on with the car

Although when the car was in the shop I did have a little bit more parts to get for the eclipse so a lot of the dsm's you see have the high-rise so I really wanted to get that so that's that's the one that was trying to look for I don't even think you can even get one of these anymore new junkyard you have to be really fast to get it but I got these white spoiler and part of the side skirts so again that's what I was Googling and did my research on on what to get.

IMG_3012.JPG

So you can consider this the first technically the first highlight ever built was actually for my Eclipse I wanted something more unique nothing like everyone else has but at the same time gives it the more I kind of you know unique styling so I went ahead and just got myself a junkyard light just to see how I'm going to do this so I went ahead and open them up I made my own acrylic panel as well as I measure this thing probably around three or four times just this because the way that Clips lights are shaped so I wanted to make sure that everything was ok.

Did you guys know me, then you know that I make some cool tail lights here so consider this one of the first taillights I ever made . Sequential, really bright led brake light.

look at that guage wire LOL

Install the fog lights and fog light covers as well as made my own LED Amber running light

IMG_3596.JPG

These photos show a little bit more troubleshooting on a car as well as that break lie or I'm sorry the battery light and check engine light on as well as the radiator fluid looking like apple cider

These solutions were fixed from more flushing of the radiator and replacement.
battery light from ecu having temperture battery sensor located in side the ecu engine light always a mystery LOL

Here's some more photos of I actually have the outer door moldings I didn't want to paint these I might do it to the old ones but I just wanted to get a brand new set or in better condition from the junkyard so those were pretty cool to install I'm not that difficult as well as the armrest cover so the are is in the base model I believe you're the only ones that don't have the armrest cover so I went ahead and got an arm rest from a spare eclipse from the junkyard the thing is I didn't get the whole Center console so I just got the armrest part but a lot of it we're actually just there like the screw holes were there the the way that the insert is the way it shaved it's just kind of like they remodeled it but all the holes are there just in case you want to do it so it came out pretty nicely as well as the reverse lights I went ahead and put some mag and polish lens restoration kind of thing it actually did a pretty nicely and went ahead and did like 800 of 1500 grit and just use that polish and then boom they turned it back to that kind of Chrome clear lens look so no more yellowing on the lens at least .

IMG_3724.JPG

So the first time I touch the headliner was when I got the car so I had to fix that ASAP but I never knew how I actually knew how to do it so. I went ahead and Revisited the headliner and took off all the God dang phone so it add ears properly to the fabric as well as I did some of the headline or sun visors those were break those came out pretty good as well. Also on the door car die did somebody door cars as well the little crank window versions

We went ahead and tackled more of the cooling side again so I this is where I bought a new radiator brand new so that the fluid can be flushed in not be contaminated by the radiator

I wanted something totally unique for the rear end, I even started drawing out lights and designs for a car I didn’t even drive yet LOL

But here are pics of the lights on the car!

First time seeing a 4g63T it looked amazing! As well as a free intake from @Junk_GSX on Instagram

Painted those black windshield wipers arms as well!

Some clips as well as my greatest junkyard score for the dsm!!

Tien basic height adjustable coilovers! I was shocked to see them at first, because I knew of the brand and never knew they made for the eclipse as well.

The most con about this was the car they were on, it’s like they trashed this car and through it in the ocean just to pull it back, there were literal rotten eggs in the hatch.

Took 3 days to get all 4 out with no help just videos and patienced LOL

Luckily the shocks and suspension were on sale but the guy noticed it was aftermarket to it was no covered with there warranty.

**2022 updates** These are going on hopefully! Getting rid of those ugly wheel gap LOL

here are some pics of the AEM TRU-TIME adjustable cam gears!

I will be using these to set to 0. No adjustment needed on this 420a

First car pic with me in it haha!

Finally dropped the car on the Tein coilovers! I measured about a 3.75 front and 3.50 drop in the rear! Going for a bigger size wheel would make this look great

Installed the complete set of 2GB Side Skirts!

All oem parts from many different dsm, at first i got the 2GA ones and didnt noticed they were different. For mounting techniques, I tried magnets and they didnt hold to the panel like I wished. Eventually, just using the original clips, in tandem with some automotive marine goop, these are good to go!

this really changed the side profile of the car gave it more flavor!

Finally, Rear disc conversion!

MY car is a RS, comes with the brake drums in the back, this is a upgrade i wanted to do and got next to nothing achieving it!
I grabbed everything from the brake caliper and bracket, backing plates, and handbrake assembly. I didn't have to cut or anything! The bolts came off easy with PB blaster and patience. I chose to paint them flouro orange with a heat resistant primer. All this for undert $60!

I don't beat on my car heavy, but for braking power, I can feel alot of the braking distance kick down much harder and faster. I went with generic brake pads for everyday use.
