I'm just wondering if anyone has it, couldnt find a thread on it, and how it performs as far as actually lowering the intake manifold temps. Slowboy says they sell like crazy, but I dont know of anyone who has one, it looks almost like a piece of plastic, someones gotta have it installed, let me know how it performs, and if it doesnt leak or what not. Because hey, for $30, thats real cheap for a little extra HP.

I think they're referring to the FIAV and no, it wouldn't cause a no-start. That sounds like an overheating PTU or fuel pressure issue?
Sorry, PTU? I dont think its fuel pressure related...after it sits for a bit it fires right up....im being told that the thermal valve is the issue with my idle, and most DSM guys will delete it? So im considering that....but the no start issue has me stumped as i have no clue why it would not want to start after warming up...fuel pressure im not too sure if it would be the problem as ive tried priming the fuel pump prior to a hot start as well and no dice...

Hate to bring back a thread but i have a question regarding that thermal valve....so im at a tuner shop and they are saying my thermal valve is the reason for incorrect idle.....my question is...would the thermal valve also have anything to do with my biggest issue/symptom?(the car will run, get warm and once its warm it wont turn back on, it'll crank no start. Once its cool again she fires right up)
Sounds like a sensor overheating, cam or crank. Check injector pulse signal and check for spark.

If the thermal valve is stuck or you bypassed the coolant for it without turning it in or blocking it off your idle will be messed up.

So apparently the tuner meant the FIAV, which i did block off today actually! And it DID fix my idle issue. But im still having issues with the hot start....seems like it could be the alternator, the car starts up (hot start), when i have it on a jump pack. So its loosing voltage somewhere, but when the car cools down it starts right back up.
