On the ecu config page, i dont have options like other people do. I dont have the fuel tab above mafcomp where i can make adjustments, im not able to add certain values to my log such as combinedft. Everything is up to date and im running v3. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

update. figured out display values, still no fuel adjustment table

Direct access is different from 1g vs 2g. Fuel adjustment is made in MAF comp on a car using MAF, and if it’s switched to speed density, you use the speed density cells. Can you upload a log?

Also, do you have the latest Firmware from ECMLink?
;)

turns out i wasnt on the updated firmware, i got the fuel tab. for future reference however, how do you upload a log? also, im not able to adjust the combinedft because theres no map sensor pin assigned, any idea how to fix that? im running rich asf..

Here's the current log and setup, you'll find out quick how new I am to this, biggest problem rn is its running rich asf. Don't have map sensor, boost solenoid, or wideband installed. im hitting a lot of combinedft at low hz, i saw some video about tuning the maf comp or maf clamp based on rawmaf? A lot of this terminology is new to me, idk when what or how much fuel cut and trim should be applied, does anyone have a link to the basics or something because im totally lost.

On your "Misc" tab, you have checked "Disable airflow smoothing with SD". If you still have a MAF on the car then you would want to uncheck that box. I also see it under your MafComp tab. Only check those if you are running Speed Density (you don't run a Mass Airflow Sensor when running SD).
I think you need to update your ECMLink. Go out to their website and download the latest firmware. I don't see a fuel tab on your log and that leads me to believe you are needing to update your program. It would allow you to adjust your injectors global fuel and deadtimes.

Marty, I'm not sure if that checkbox on MAF Comp tab actually has an effect since the MAF type is Stock after reading the help text. Sounds like the logic is built in that if MAF type is not Speed Density, it won't be an issue.

Just a note when dealing with firmware updates - ALWAYS make sure you're on the latest version of the software. This is where I'd start if you haven't already.

Then work on getting the wideband installed as that will give you actual data to work with.

Using the Add Photos button and selecting your .elg file in the popup.

firmware is up to date, i unchecked the boxes regardless, is wideband actually that important? I'm going to get it soon, along with a map sensor and bcs, is there anything else i need to start getting accurate logs?

Theres no injectors listed in your profile. Are you on stock injectors? If not, that’s why it’s rich. There’s no fuel tab so the ecu “assumes” it’s on stock injectors.

You need a WB to tune open loop. Looks like you did some closed loop tuning which looks ok.

i am on stock injectors as of rn, i adjusted the mafcomp based on the combinedft i was getting however it still fluctuates here and there, 50 hz on rawmaf seems to be where things get messed up, sometimes the combinedft will be positive at 50 hz and other times negative, does this have anything to do with having the stock o2 sensor or is it based on throttle position?

I dont have wideband, just the stock o2 sensors, the rear o2 sensor doesnt reach the o2 bung on the exhaust i have.

Basically i want to completely ignore the rear o2 on link, does anyone know how to do that?

I’ll have to look over the log again. A dialed in fuel setting will fluctuate between +|-2% combinedFT & STFT with LTFT being close to zero. It will swing back and forth to achieve 14.7 afr assuming fuel delivery and airflow values are correct (afrEst). This is the job of the front o2 sensor.

MAF reading is measured in hz, the amount of airflow measured through the sensor. 50hz should be about where it idles is.

Watch these videos.

I think it's as easy as unchecking the Cat efficiency/O2 box:

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

And perhaps checking Lock rear O2 voltage:

You must be logged in to view this image or video.

Since your fuel tab was missing in the last log, it would help to have a new current one.

In my opinion yes, a wideband is very important. Also as Steve said check the lock rear o2 voltage to ignore the rear one. I have my wideband tapped into the rear o2 ecu input for logging purposes and have the lock rear o2 sensor box checked and haven’t had any problems running it that way. You need a wideband to verify the car is actually running what you think it is and is very helpful to log it and and review the log to see where changes need to be made.
