it never ceases to amaze me in that my engine compartment looks NOTHING like this! Its dirty and stock. HAHA. Very impressive work.
Thanks, its really about removing stuff rather than adding it. Here's a list of stuff that's not there anymore. AC, evap and emissions, crusie control, vacuum line delete, battery relocation, fuse box relocation and a harness tuck as much as I can with a unmodified harness. Toss is some colored hoses and a painted valve cover, there you have it. I have plans to do an abs delete and maybe buy a tucked harness in the future.

Finally have the car all put together and gave her a wash! Hope do some tuning next weekend.

Amazing piece of work! I only hope my paintbrush is half as good.

I may lean on you with some questions in the future as to how to achieve a couple of those items if willing…

Oh course! I'm still learning and making mistakes every day but I do love these cars.

Thanks and Likewise, just wish I could’ve started much sooner. With how long I’ve been an owner and obsessed with them I should be a wiseman! Lol. One day.

You'll get there Deric! Im expecting to meet up some day for some cruises!
I bought a tubular header, Eibach springs, swaybar bushings and a 2g mas to destroy for building a cop setup. I just like the looks of the cop versus stock. Sometimes you gotta go blind too. Lol

Removed manifold and turbo that came on the car. To no surprise found a bad kink in the return line along with a leak. Painted the intercooler gunmetal as it was the only paint can I had on hand. Was poorly painted black.

Oof, that kink :notgood:

I went to the local LKQ pick your parts auto wrecking yard, and actually found a couple 2g Eclipses there.... I spent a few hours, got sunburned, and picked a spare passenger windshield, door trim, electric window/door switch, both outer door handles, a brand new OEM water pump still in box, almost new hydraulic hatch supports, brand new still in the box head bolts, a timing cover, some misc black interior panels, turbo axles in great shape with nice boots, a nice rear wiper not stripped out, water pump pipe, and lots of other things for about $500. They are not having 50% off sales on holidays anymore...that';s a thing of the past...they charge only full price for everything now, and they check your tool bag and receipt and mark everything very carefully these days...I guess its because there are too many thieves recently...its a shame...but at least it was fun and I got some things I needed.

I think im going to try to UN warp my intercooler. I think if I put it under the tire while the car is jacked up, then slowly lower the car onto it, it might un bend the core? Lol. Like it would press it flat against the concrete using the weight of the car on the tire?

Anyone have a better thought on it haha

Maybe chip board bigger than the IC on both sides then press it, that way it has give on both sides and the pressure is equal across the whole part. Like a sandwich. I would be too scared to try but thats just me. How did it get warped like that?

Finally got my new intake installed and that took care of my fast idle. All new vacuum lines and also new thermostat and temp sensors. The top of the biss screw was broke off and no O ring so I believe it was sucking air through there.

I was wondering why Fp turbo inlet housings are made they way they are.
You have like this "flange" that is 1/2" wide and there is no kind of edge to grab your intake pipe on to.
I mean they are great turbos but when ever taking out the intake pipe its pain in the ass to position it exactly right so it does not move when you drive your car like theres no tomorrow. Its very thin too.

This happened to me when the FMIC contacted with a curbstone.
Tried to flatten by adding weight but didn't work well since mine had a thick protector plate on top and bottom side. Finally I held one side by a big bench vise with wooden boards, and sandwiched the other side with two longer wooden boards holding by clamps, and then twisted gently and slowly until it gets straight.

Installed my new BC BR coilovers. These are half the weight of my old Tein coilovers. Still getting used to the ride and dampening adjustments.
