It seems it's getting more people asking for help about a JDM RVR/Chariot transmission spec. I think it's because there is no site exists that shows all necessary spec in the internet.
So I made a list of all JDM RVR/Chariot transmission code and ratio. (Only W5M3- that would possibly be used in DSM/GVR4/Early EVO)
Please refer to the list below when you need.

I think we need this to be a sticky as im sure this is going to be vital for alot of members in the future

Ive just dismantled a UMXL gearbox, its a late model with the dot printed code number. Interesting point was that it had the forged steel 3/4 selector ring like the evo 1 had, and had teflon lined 5th gear fork. It has single cone synchros throughout

The WMXL that I pulled apart had neither teflon lined 5th or the good selector ring (it had the weaker cast one)

My MMZL from a 95 RVR turbo had same ratios as the UMXL, but had a double cone synchro on 2nd. Cast selector ring for 3/4 and a steel 5th gear fork. Never counted the front crownwheel teeth but it was set up for the 1.090 transfer and 3.545 rear diff.

Non turbo gearboxes also had the thinner viscous coupling. I'm going to do a proper measurement soon, but the thin one 'feels' every bit as tight as the thicker turbo ones

Do you think you could edit the post over time to include any notable configurations other than just the ratios?

We can always update the thread by adding new infos as comment. But I have no access to edit the original post anymore. So, to edit the original post, I think we need to ask the admin @Ludachris or one of moderators @1990TSIAWDTALON.

Sure let me look. On vaca and on my phone, sorry guys.
Keep inputting and if it isn't visible, let me know and I'll put it in another category.

Quick question does anyone have an FSM with the ratios for a 1992 expo/vista/summit W5M33-2-NNXZ transmission, please share the info here, this is the vary early "92 expo vista summit transmission and is similar to a 1g design no front or rear bolt holes like a 2g transmission, I acquired one recently and I am wondering what the specs are, the rear end on the wagon had a 3.545 sticker so it should work in a dsm but does anyone have more details?

Did a quick check. I didn't check all part numbers in the parts catalog but it seems like identical to 1G 91-92 trans. At least it has a 23 spline output shaft, a 58T front ring gear and a 12 Turn T-Case which are the same as DSM.
