does anyone know if I can rebuild a w4a32 trans with w4a33 parts to make it stronger? or are the cases diff? I have 2 w4a32s for my van and trying to see if I can build 1 of them to hold 650-700.. if its not possible I will keep searching for a 33.. thanks in advance.

Unfortunately there are only a few interchangeable parts, I would suggest finding a W4A33, matching torque converter and flexplate.

curious.. would the center diff be 1 of the lucky few parts that will swap? I found a 2g trans that needs rebuilt but has no center diff.. thanks much

Gosh it has been a while since I fooled with a W4A32, like at least 6 years. For that exact detail I would have to go into Mitsu ASA software and compare part numbers as the only reference in that. I recall the planetary being different, input shaft, torque convertor, oil pump, and clutch packs having variations. I cannot remember if the transfer gears and the center diff are the same. I would have to look on my work PC when I somehow have free time.

man mitsu has some strange products LOL... sooo many parts can mix in match like evo 8 pistons in a 1g block.... then on other hand sooo many parts you would think would interchange wont LOL... thanks again for the reply Tim.

one more question I cant find the answer to..(searched everywhere online for about 5 hours).... on the pilot bushing... i see 1g and 2g are diff part numbers.. but no where does it explain what the diff are... I need to know which one to use on my 6 bolt motor.. to run the 2g converter... or are both 1g and 2g have the same size nub on the converters? thanks much
