Yes I just used professional grade 3m window urethane. I'm going to check it this weekend for leaks
Im sure it will seal well if you put loads of it on.

Sorry I am new to this, who do I contact to get one of these?

Talk direct to AWC windows please to order these

Quick question, after having these in for a while now has anybody had any issues with them? Any yellowing or anything? Also, has anybody tinted one of these with a quality aftermarket tint? Are these able to be tinted further than the tint options they can be ordered with? Inam very interested in getting one for my CF rear hatch but I don't want anything that will yellow over time amd I want to be able to tint it pretty damn dark!

mine have not yellowed and no one has mentioned to me about that so i dont think you need to worry! they use top quality Makrolon material which has a service life of over 10 years in general.

I just been to them today and dropped some bits off and they said if you do wish to tint it with film then you have to uncover it from the protective film and let it outgas for a week or a bit longer so all the excess gas can escape freely and this will help avoid huge air bubbles in the tint! BUT..... you may still get a few small ones i was told so be warned it might not stay perfect for ever!

I've had mine for almost 2 years and still looks brand new. I have mine installed in a carbon fiber hatch and would highly recommend it.

Ok cool, thank you very much for the info! Did they happen to mention if there would be any other potential negative effects from removing the protective film? Or you know what, I could probably quit being lazy and call them myself! Hahaha! Again, thanks for the info, I do appreciate it!

Ok cool, that makes 2 people now so I guess yellowing is not at all an issue, so thats good! Thanks for letting me know! Its looking like I will probably buy one!

Might be best to talk directly as I get my info from ringing them or what i remember from previous convos with them.

A few others that have had one also love them. One chap im working woth now to get the door ones made is very impressed its never scratched ir anything so if he is that happy to want more from them then thats a good sign of customer happyness of the product!

Are they making the door window panels curved so they actually work in a 2g?

thats correct Tim, they have my glass to make the mold from for the exact oem curved shape

Question to you guys installing this in a carbon fiber hatch… did you sand the clearcoat on the inside lip where the glass sits to better adhere the urethane? Did you use the 3m single step primer on the carbon fiber?

@mitsumikey yours was on carbon right. What did you do?

@ec17pse Bobby, I finally got around to purchasing their windows. Should have them sometime in June-July hopefully!
thats awesome to hear Tim. depends how busy they are you likely might get them sooner.

I did not sand down the clear coat on my carbon hatch. I just cleaned the surface and used a lot of 3m fast cure auto glass urethane and haven't had any issues in 2 years.

Well, my windows already showed up! That was considerably faster than I was expecting! Not even 3 weeks total!
Thats awesome! I did not think it would take that long. They say an est just incase but do always try to beat it. Glad its with you now though.

I'm going to have to make frames, I paid for bracketry, and it was comical, a couple support rods won't do squat, especially on carbon doors.
