Hey folks
I need some help here
So ever since I got my 2g, all the lights (except fog lights) have turned on at the same time, that means, on the first click of the lever.
Testing voltages, I get 2 hot cables at all time, but turning to the first click deletes one of them and leaves only one, stays exactly the same with the second one.

Is there any way that that's how it actually works?

I don't have a good set of manual pages for a 97 but I can answer the last question. No they don't work like that. The column switch has three positions, off, taillights, headlights on the rotating part and low, high, and passing on the pull and push.

Don't assume the high side (+12) is being switched many parts of the electrical systems work by completing low side (ground) connections. Various relays then apply power when activated.

Based on the fit and finish I'm not sure your lights have factory wiring anymore which makes it difficult to diagnose from a distance.

I get it, so best thing to do right now as a first step is to find the diagrams and see where there may be some relays missing or cables than have been connected together, I guess (¿?)

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

I will be documenting everything and in case it's solved I'll post it
