Has anyone bought a turbo from cxracing? We're looking at the t4 t67 ceramic ball bearing .68 a/r any thoughts?

I don't say it won't work but basically it's a knock off brand from eBay. You get what you pay for.
Once I installed their 20g on my customer car, the turbo even didn't spin at idle. Yes it was "working", it was building some boost. But if it would flow the air the same as the original? No probably not.
If you are planning to spend $400-500 for that turbo, I would go with a good used genuine Holset HX40 or so.

CXRacing, Godspeed, and Rev9 are all "branded" Chinese crap...meaning it's the same stuff you can buy elsewhere, but marketed under a certain distributor to give the buyer confidence that it's a better product than it actually is. I see this a lot with other direct-fit Evo and Subaru turbos from places like Boost Lab which are selling the same turbos you can buy on eBay for half their price.

If you're going to waste money on something copied/Chinese, at least go for something from Pulsar who actually builds and markets all of their own products. Their turbos are all copies of modern Garrett G- or GT-units opposed to antique T04R/T04Z tech from 25 years ago.

Thanks for the reply, it is so nice having this community of gearheads for reference. Greatly appreciated advice to not only save hard earned $$ but also preventing another failure due to phoney "buyer confidence". Can't thank y'all enough. I'm so much more confident in this adventure knowing we're truly "not alone". D

I +1 the thoughts on the Holset HX40. Holset makes some of the best budget turbos around.

As far as some of CXRacings other products, their FMIC kit is actually fairly high quality. Come with all the mounting hardware, piping, BoV (although the quality of the BoV is iffy at best), etc. Pretty satisfied with what I got, but that doesn't mean I'd be willing to buy a turbo from them.
