I'm somewhat invested (and kinda dumb). They all run too believe it or not with the exception of the conquest because I took it down to add a second turbo during the holidays. I'm trying to convince my wife to get a 97 red spyder gst auto so we can have identical cars (mines a 5 speed tho). She used to have one several years ago and I regret us selling it.

For the love of god i love that conquest! I want one soooooo bad!
Can't believe the collection in general though they are all amazing.

Here's some random photos. I built a 4g64/63 and I put most my money into the engine and not what's bolted to it. I'm slowly trying to fix that now though.

Not a bad looking ride... Quick like a bunny I bet... What is the car parked beside yours in the garage... Same colours as mine
Yeah it was fun but the 2.4l with a 14b fell on its face real hard at about 6k rpms. I think the hx35 I'm adding will help with that though. That's my wife's old 97 gst spyder that I regret selling.

Last time I saw a Conquest it was 20 years ago in RRE's garage - I didn't know what I was looking at - at the time.

Can we see more pics of that?

I believe it is the same platform as the Mitsubishi starion. Both very very cool cars. If i could find either or I'd get one for sure.

Btw I left out the photo where I stripped the caliper down to the metal. I didn't just paint over the rust. I know you can convert it with phosphoric acid, but I wanted this to be as thorough as possible, no short cuts.

And I'm actually going to complete this in spring. I wasn't able to get to the crossmember, diff, diff support or underbody on the first pass.

Or this?

Ah, I see. One of these days I'll put together a real build thread. I've done so much on the car that it'll take some work and I keep putting it off. I also want to include details so it might be of help to others someday.

And to sum up, in addition to thoroughly rebuilding and/or derusting and painting all 4 calipers, hub assemblies, strut assemblies, the entire front subfame/member assembly, manual trans (rebuild) and all sorts of engine bay parts, I recently did a complete TB/WP replacement job including all new pulleys, tensioner, seals & drive belts, and in a few months hope to complete overhauling the entire rear. Also, installed new clutch/PP/slave, SS clutch & brake hoses, pads/rotors, plugs/wires, K&N AF, rear main seal, and other stuff I forgot.

When this movie came out and others before & after, i use to work at a cinema. I would keep all the main banners, film trailors, etc.. i had this, the twin tower spider man, etc but i gave it all away many moons ago. I think my buddy at the time may still have some rare limited stuff. Nice ticket keep 👌🏼
I loved this platform well before the first movie came out. This will probably date me quite a bit but I remember when the first one came out how much I hated what followed. Every idiot out there throwing parts randomly on cars thinking they had a race car and ruining them. Granted I didn't know much technically speaking about how to build them, and still I believe just touching on that knowledge, hoping I didn't wait too long to get serious about it. Just never had the money to throw at it but was going to keep it until I could no matter what. Fact remains I believe I probably own one of the only unmolested 92 6/4 manual Talon TSI's still left and if it weren't for those movies we might have a lot more left to pick from out there for our restos. That's not to say the movies weren't entertaining. 😉

Im only posting this because i want you to feel my pain hahah. 8 6 bolt blocks, 2 7 bolt, 8 6 bolt heads, roughly about 5 of EVERYTHING from ofh, sensors, tubes, squirters, oem pistons, new/used, jacks stage 3 awd w 0 miles 😭, so much more. I can build 3 or awd LOL but i have 0 awd frames. My gst getting all the love cause that is how my journey is heading. If you know me, id give this all away for free to anyone as long as their heart is in it. I know who the real DSMers are on here and if any of you guys needed a head, set of springs or whatever, just ask. I realized a long time ago i wasnt created to make money, but i have a gift thats grander than that & this how come i can give and give without feeling a loss. If anyone of you dsm freaks who has an extra, running awd that youd be willing to trade up. Make it worth my wild, and lets make it happen. Other than that, i sleep with most of this stuff and youll never find me in the streets, so no use looking. I think the only other person in houston id give my time to, respectfully, would be vegas. But yeah im neck deep in the game & aint goin no where 🤘🏻

Much love Tony 🤘🏻

Can I get a Jack's stage 3 from you? LOL. no really. If I can't get a tranny to support my build I don't know what I'll do. Pulling my hair out trying to figure that out. Read my post in my profile if you want to know how much my heart is in it. Mine is 92 AWD manual. You're collection is awesome.

Does this meet criteria? :)
Dude

I remember the GM of place walked in and i was watching the last 15 mins of it one time. i just looked at him and kept watching. I was 15. I was an usher & would clean the theaters after each show, 24 screens. Nothing happened LOL. Anyways, my superviser and about 4 other employees came the next day with wings, one was on a ford escort, a truck, and i cant remember the others. I had a grand am gt 2dr 2.4, and i wanted one too. My mother printed out an article on what those wings are for and downforce etc.. i caught my snap after that moment(she saved me LOL)

In 2002 i believe, my friend julio pulled up in an EVO. I was disgusted & couldnt belive he betrayed us like that hahahahah. We were honda freaks to the T, doing every swap from honda to honda & using nitrous. I left to NM in 2003, saw a launch of a talon online and fell in love since. I just got in the game a little over two years now, so its never too late. 2 years neck deep reading, writing, studying, etc. everyday about them, and still at it with the help of these DSM legends on here and before my time. Molest that machine bro 😆😆🤘🏻🤘🏻

Holy Crap. Ty was still working there at that point, and Mike was still with Jackie and touring around in a VW bus down the west coastline. That's OG!

I feel that. I saw my first Conquest when I was 16. It was sitting next to the first Talon I bought in a podunk used car lot in the woods of Maine. I didn't know what I was looking at but I knew it was awesome. This was 1997 or 98.

I have a basically stock (except for standard replacement parts like pads, rotors, filters, plugs, etc.) '92 Talon TSi AWD manual 6 bolt crank 4 bolt rear axle. I.e. the one above. Most definitely not for sale or parting out. Are they really basically isolated unicorns at this point?

I have to admit to not really pushing it to do what it can do. I keep fearing that I'll break something, crash it or get pulled over. So what it's capable of is kind of wasted on me. But then I mostly drive it on local streets these days so it's not like there's much opportunity to really open things up now. Maybe this spring after I hopefully finish what's left to do on it I'll take it on some road trips upstate and let 'er rip. Well, sort of.

Definitely not wasted if you're enjoying it. Better than the junkyard fate of most. I will build mine as tough as I can justify, but probably be closer to your driving situation. Although I do have plenty of long straight back roads near me down here, so you know..LOL. And still hope for the occasionaly weekend warrior fun..

This was the "reward" for being one of the top Mitsubishi parts department in the U.S. circa 1999. I've kept it ever since even though it blows through batteries to keep time and most times, only half of the neon works. Now you can buy knock-offs for about $10.99 from Ebay:

Well, I put it through its paces when I first bought it and got that out of my system. 125mph in Montana, speeding ticket in Wyoming, lots of blue highways and winding mountain roads in most of the major ranges in the lower 48, PCH, west Texas, Highway 61, Blue Ridge Parkway, Natchez Trace, and so on. After that it was just a fun daily driver. Every now and then I punch it a bit just for the hell of it.

Rebuilding Ludachris's 1g from nothing because growing up around 1gs its the car Ive always wanted. :D Plus the entire shed of parts I have with a Galant VR4 plus a Galant GSX.
