Made some progress I’ll do my best to explain

1 - got the trans got the Torque converter filled. Placed in the transmission

2 - with the hoist I guided the trans but needed to trim the frame rail more to clear the trans as the 2g trans is pushed more towards the passenger side

3- processed to bolt up the TC used red lock tie and torqued to 55 lbs.

4 axles in for 2g trans you need 2g half shaft driver axle from 1g. Passager axle from 2g non Abs axle that’s what i used.

I’ll post pictures tomorrow morning of the rail on 1990 cars you have to trim more than the other models. 1990 cars never came automatic. It was in option in 91+

If I can get my 92 back into shape, I will be asking questions on the NOS setup to get mine going also.
Love the updates, getting ready for this season already :thumb:

Wicked.

I think I'm gonna need a 1g just like this, love this car...time to go hunt for one.
Thank you it’s taken a lot years to get it up to
This level.

Looking good Frank. I am working on mine today and tomorrow during Great weather before the shit hits the fan here in KS. I would love for mine to leave that well. Thanks for the video! :thumb:
Love it!

Just to add more story to what happened last week

I got the car ready took it to the local track. When I stage and launch when shifting to second gear i got a flare up … I was like what’s going on …

Loaded up took it home … that was last Thursday

But on the following day after checking my work finding out I wired the silanoids backwards 🤦🏻‍♂️
Corrected the wiring and figured out I went to 1st to 4th 🥴🥴🥴. Checked the end clutches changed them on the fly went for the test hit on Saturday (the video posted earlier)

Now is correctly shifting as it should !

Let me tell you, that was VERY SMART on your part to go ahead and change the OD pack. I keep a few sets on hand.
When and if I can get my monster running right again, that is the same thing i do around here, No Prep stuff and need to get out of the whole, the turbo will do the rest!
Great story and BEST OF LUCK, let us know how it goes. Very interested!!!
Marty

Working on making sure there is not low spots and prepared the surfaces deck.

Thanks to a fell dsmtuner from Los Angeles @Phardo I was able to get an HKS gasket in the 1.6 mm and new Gates blue belt !
